Sorry it took so long for anyone to answer you! Attendance gets spotty around the holidays! What you're trying to do is pretty standard stuff. Here's two links, including one from Micro$oft itself, explaining how to accomplish this:

Here's what I have and I'm stumped. I have a table that has several thousand names and addresses. I only want to send to one address in a household. So what I would like to do is create a new column that runs a macro or whatever it takes to flag records so they are housholded. Some records have a Father and son at the same address, so I would only want to generate a count in my query that gives me one record for that household, a head of...

Howdy, all. Appreciate your help. Have a one to many relation between a client and visit table. In the visit subform, I have a visittype and counselor field which are comboboxes. If I set either field to drop down via Me.dropdown in the GotFocus event for the field, each time the client record changes the visittype or counselor field drops down - only have the GotFocus event set to one combobox at the moment - unless I move the cursor...

Also, There are certin names that i click on the list, and it will not bring it up, rather it brings to the first record (no matter how many times i try going to that...

Hi everybody- I inherited a database that somehow uses a bound combo box as a record selector. Let me give you some background. The form is based on data from 2 tables. The first table, Person, records info about a person. The second table, Case, records information about a person's case, almost like a human resources database. The primary key of the table, person, is his/ her social security number. The primary key of the other...

Hello all, I do not know if this question is regarding table design, queries, or programming. Below, I have given a table design using Access 2003. Fields 'Product' and 'Color' are primary keys and 'Active' is a Boolean data type. What I am trying to accomplish is having only one record selected active out of the 'Product' field for each type. If possible, have the user be able to do this task while viewing the data within a...

Greetings To All! I am using a Access 2003 and my programing skills are of the cut and paste variety. This means begining programming skills and on a good day perhaps middle of the road intermediate. I have used some of the combo box tutorials to get me started but I have a question, how do I save a selection choice from a forms combo box into a second table where the form is recording information? On a form called frmIncidents I have a...

How can I get the Value that I select using my Combo Box to be UNIQUE (to save to ONE record)to the respective Record that I am viewing on my Form? At present, when I select a Value from the Combo Box this Value displays on EACH of the 7441 records that I can view using my Form. I know its some small detail on my Combo Box properties that I am overlooking?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
