I modified my existing MsAccess (.mdb) database with addtional queries and report. When I updated the version in my other pc with the new version when I loaded the database an error popped-out that i am missing a plugin.ocx. This is the first time i have encountered this message on MsAccess 2003.

What is the cause for this missing .ocx addins? How can this be prevented in the future? Is there a fix for this?

Assistance will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Check your references in the reference library and see if anything is missing...

"There is no object in this control" in Access 97 form with registered MSINET.OCX on XP machine I have an Access 97 database that I made a form with using the Microsoft Internet Transfer control (MSINET.OCX). I want another user to use this database. We both have XP machines. I copied the MSINET.OCX to hers c:\windows\system32\ directory and registered it with regsvr32 and it registered fine. When I get into Acces97 on her machine and...

I have created an application that will dynamically load other DLLs (plugins). The new plugin is a winform with an embedded IE Browser. I am wanting to have the form to run in its own thread. This would allow for other plugins and the main application to be free to do other work. I have written a little TestDriver for the plugin and am having some difficulty. If I don't use threads everything works just fine. If I do use threads, upon...

This may not be a direct C# question, but since I'll be using using C# for development, I thought I'd pose the question here. I'll soon be involved in the design of a new software product that will employ a software "Plug-In" architecture. Taking the plug-in route will give us a design that can adapt to, as yet, undefined future requirements (within the scope of the plug-in interface spec of course). In the past I've done this with...

Kind of a strange question... I have a VB.NET 2.0 solution containing a main project (my EXE) and a number of other projects (class DLLs) that are "plug-ins" to the main app. These plugins get installed depending on each user's requirements. I'd like to implement a function in one plugin that only executes if another plugin is present. Typically, for one plugin to access a second plugin, I need to set a reference at design-time to the...

I'm making a program that consists of a main engine + plugins. Both are in Python. My question is, how do I go about importing arbitrary code and have it be able to use the engine's functions, classes, etc? First, here's how it's laid out on the filesystem: -mainstarterscript.py -<engine> -__init__.py - -<plugin>

I did a search on the newsgroup comp.lang.javascript. I was searching for "how to play a sound with Javascript". I'm somewhat suprised that the majority of entries are from the 1990s, and there are almost no posts from the last 3 years: http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.javascript/search?group=comp.lang.javascript&q=how+to+play+a+sound+with+Javascript&qt_g=Search+this+group Even after sorting by date, there don't appear any...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
