Using expression to change font colour on form tab..

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have an access form with
tabbed pages on it. I would like the colour of the tab name to change
when a user inputs information into the fields on the page, i.e when
they start a new record all the tabbed pages have their name in black
and when they input info into a page the font colour of the page name
turns to red. This is so that they can easily see if any pages have
not been updated.

I have tried using an expression to do this but have hit a brick wall,
I'm not good with VB code so I was trying to just use an expression or
macro using the event procedure when after a field is updated. Would
anyone know how I can do this?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

There is no way to do that with the standard tab control, unless you
use pictures. Perhaps an alternative would be to change the caption of
a tab after it has been completed: "Page 1 DONE", etc.

You might want to try out this link: http://www.fontstuff.com/access/acctut12.htm

It's a cool thing and it could be useful ;)

Many thanks for your replies guys!

The coloured tabbing looks very cool and is something I might use in
the future...

Tom, I was looking at using pictures too...as in when a user fills in
the fields on a tab page an embedded assess picture appears on the
tab, or even when they fill it in the picture is deleted. I could not
get the expression builder to do this, I was trying to use one of the
standard built in pic's that access has when you goto add one onto a
tab..say 'MS Access Form' Is there a way I could do that? Just add
that pic to the tab when the fields are filled in..

Thanks..

Hi I have written an HTML pages which does not have any colour specifying tags as far I know. When I view this in an Microsoft internet explorer browser it appears with a white background and black text but when I change Windows start menu->settings->control panel ->display -> appearance and change scheme to 'High Contrast Black' the background in the browser changes to black and the text to white. I understand that the windows scheme...

Hello all, It stinks being a newbie! One thing that I'm not sure about with CSS is: where is the "proper" place to put font attibutes? This has me a little confused. Take the below style sheet (which is a work in progress) as an example. If I don't put the font attributes in the <body> <p> and <td> tags, the font will not appear the way I want (when I work in FrontPage, anyway). It doesn't seem to be enough to put the font attributes in...

Hi How do I change the background colour of an input box in a form as soon as the value is changed? Also the background should revert back to it's original colour if the user decides that they do not want to make any changes and hence retype back the orginial value. I do not want the background to change after the user has moved to the next form field but as soon as the value has been changed.

I use PIL to write some text to a picture. The text must be seen wery clearly. I write the text to different pictures but to the same position. As pictures maybe different, colour, in the position where I write the text, is also different. Is there a way how to set the font colour so that it will be seen very clearly in the picture? Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
