Multiple search using List box

16 New Member
Hi all,

I have recently created a list box in a form.....I wanted to know if there was a way of searching for multiple records within the list box.

How can i get this list box to search for multiple records and create a report with the searched data listed.

If there is a simple way to do this then i would appreciate the advice

Many thanks.

You can have a ListBox that handles Multiple selections but searching for them is another matter.
It may be possible to type the first characters in an entry but I don't know how well (or at all) this works after the first entry has been selected (and you're holding the Ctrl key).

There seems to be some misunderstandin g.
What do you mean by "Record" in this context?
What do you mean by "Search for"?

Hi there,

When I say record I mean in terms of finding or filtering data from a sets of records.

When I say search for I mean filtering.

Basically I have being trying to filter data from my original data list, I have built queries with parameter and search boxes, however this only allow me to search for singular parameters in each field.

Then I tried to use the pivot table option.

Basically I was wondering if there was a way to build a form that would allow me and the users to filter data with ease. E.g. If the form could have a tab like pivot tables, therefore allowing the user to filter information and multiple data sets within the form.

Have a look at Example Filtering on a Form. If it doesn't help you to do what you want then come back and explain where you still have problems. Good luck.

I've posted this question on the mod_python mailing list but didn't get much response, so I thought I'd post it here. (My first attempt connected to an unrelated thread..sorry. Note-to-self:-must-get-more-coffee-before-posting-) It seems to me that for each path element in a URI a mod_python handler will be invoked. This applies to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
