Hi,
I have an inherited DataGrid, that does lots of extra stuff. For exemple
drawing a backgroundimage in every cell. The problem is that it's taking too
much time (using gdi+), so I want to do it using DirectX. I downloaded
already the DSK etc, but I can't find how I need to draw an image on a given
position. I don't need stuff to write advanced 3D-games, just painting that
image. Can anybody help me with this? I'm already looking for...

Hi
I have a table which has path names to photos I would like to view. I
would like to open some/any kind of image viewer(Paint) to see the
picture when I click the pathname.
The pictures are mostly scanned newspaper atricles which are too big
to just display on a form so I need the zoom and scroll features.
Im using access 2003

I'm afraid I will incur the wraith of Mr. Powell on this one - but I did read
his #1 FAQ and some others and I still can't figure this out.
I created this little c# app. and I have a PictureBox in my Form. I load
this image from the filesystem into the PictureBox and then I draw random
little lines on the image. Then when I minimize and reopen the application
the little lines are gone.
Is there a way to save my lines in memory and...

In my Winforms app I'm trying to get an image's background to appear
transparent on a form that has a gradient background. So I added a
PictureBox and then attempted to add a custom paint command for the
PictureBox. But it's not working. Here's the code I've written:
public void InitializeLinearGradients()
{
this.Paint += new PaintEventHandler(PaintClient);
this.SizeChanged += new EventHandler(SizeClient);
pictureLogo.Paint += new...

I've been searching around for a simple way to display a background
image in my MDI form's client area.
I want to be able to load the image from file on start up
and have it resize as the MDI form is resized.
It's the resizing part that I am having trouble with.
I've seen a few old posts that point in the right direction but
nothing simple.
I wondered if they has been any new ideas I have missed.

Hi,
I've searched a lot and couldn't find an answer to my problem.
I want to have a field in my form that allow me to paste an image from the clipboard to, for example, a Paint field. Then, I want to save that image to a file on a specific folder in my computer via VB.
The reason for this is that I don't want to ask the user to open paint by himself and save the file, probably in the wrong location and with the wrong name.
The first...

In my not too successful attempts to get an OLE chart object (Graph
11.0) that has been manipulated on a form to be reproduced on a report,
I am considering the following procedure. First copy the graph area to
the clip board (easy enough using Me.OleGraphControl.ChartArea.Copy).
Next open an instance of MS Paint, paste the clipboard into the file and
save as something like "Picture.bmp" in the same directory as the FE
Access app. A...

Basically, i have a program that shows images and i want it to open the image currently selected with mspaint so they can edit it.
Currently i can open paint when the user clicks a button i have set out however i cannot get paint to open the file being viewed.
I get the error "File path not found" but i'm not sure why, i thought it would be as simple as adding the "filepath" variable onto it.
Here's the code i currently have:...

Hey folks,
I have made an image-based shoutbox and now users can view older and newer message on the shoutbox depending on the $_GET - pagination - that works. However, since it's image based and can be linked in forums etc. on the Internet I only want it to save the gif image if $page == 1, so the newest shouts are saved onto the image. Yet the users can still view the other messages on site without it changing the saved gif image.
What...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
