I am having a problem using Numeric-24.0b2 in conjunction with
the NetCDF module from ScientificPython (version 2.4.9).
This problem does not surface using Numeric-23.8. The problem
arises in using the "min" function on a NetCDF floating array.
In 23.8, the "min" function returns a floating scalar, while in
24.0b2 it returns an *array* of length "1". Below I list a

WHERE fieldname IS NULL

I have imported some data to sql2k from my old system. Somehow, it imported
invoice amount to char type.
I just created another column called invamt2 type NUMERIC so I can copy or
convert content of invamt which is type CHAR. There are about 50,000
records.
How can I convert/cast from char type to numeric type ?

I have a form that when you tab from field to field that the entry point is
blank, but if you point and click in the field it brings up a 0 and data
entry is started to the left of the zero.
Thus if you are click and enter 8 becomes 80, but if you tab to the field
and enter 8 it is 8.
So my question: is there an easy way to have Access XP-2002 keep the entry
on the form blank when you click on a field to enter data?

Does COPY require values for each column even though the database field
is not set to NOT NULL? I did a COPY TO first to line up the data and
then COPY FROM a tab delimited file. Here are the first 5 fields in the
first line of the incoming file (omit the quotes, I put them there to
