Query driven from a tabbed form

46 New Member
Hello,

I've recently created a tabbed form. The forms within the tabbed form have command buttons that create reports based on queries that are driven by the forms (based on the [forms]![formname]![field] setup). The reports work on the individual form level but do not run as components of the tabbed form.

I cannot figure out why this is.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

As you've moved the forms to a tabbed form, it now are subforms and need to be addressed like:
[forms]![formname]![subformname]!form![field]

Before I get started with the question, does anyone have a (single) good book recommendation for database design? Not an Access-specific book, but something geared toward helping me figure out *what the user wants*. I've had brief formal education about data flow diagramming, but I'm looking for ... more, now that I'm actually running into problems I think stem from the fact that my users can't explain what they need done, compounded by...

I'm a newbie using VS2005 to learn and test. I'm testing against the Northwind DB. I created a simple variable called "myVariable" and I assigned it the character "c". I want my SQL query to use this variable in the "Where" statement where it will pull up all names with the letter "c" in it. How do I pass this variable on the the WHERE statement? I thought all I had to do was use the <% %> with my variable inside and that would work...

Hello, I posted a question a while ago on tabbed pages, how to set it to invisible when the text box is empty. It was answered by Rick and the code ran perfectly. However, i tried using the same code for another scenario and it gives me compile error:method or data member not found. My scenario is i have a nested tab page.My main tabbed page has 4 tabs, About, SafetyLevel1,SafetyLevel2,SafetyLevel3. Inside this main, i created a...

Goto the toolbox and click on the Tabbed Control icon; it actually looks like several...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
