Enter Date on Form which feeds back to Query

I am trying to create on field on a form which you can enter a date which will then feed back to the query.

Is this possible? I have been trying in the query HDate: ([Forms]![WorkPermit]![Text18])

Try using the field value and put the query together on the fly, eg:-
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. DoCmd.RunSql "Select * From MyTable Where DateField=" & Me.InputDate
WARNING!!! be extra careful when comparing dates....
