Between [Enter Start Date] And [Enter End Date] in QRY Problem

I have a query with a date field criteria of:
Between [Enter Start Date] And [Enter End Date]

When the query is run, I am asked for the Start date and then the End
Date. So far, so good.

The records returned are all those in between those dates and not
records that are on the start or the end date.

For example, I enter "09/01/03" for the start date and "09/30/03" for
the end date. I do not see records that are marked on the 1st or the
30th of September 2003. I only see records with dates in between.

The end user isn't going to think to enter "08/31/03" and "10/01/03"
to get all of September's records. They are just going to enter the
september dates.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you kindly,

Dave

Just a quick one.
Can't you just type :=[Enter Start Date] And <=[Enter End Date]

BETWEEN is inclusive, but if your records include time and you only supply a date as
the filter then you will only get records on the end date that fall exactly at
midnight. It should work as expected for the start date though (you might want to
check that again).

You either need to use DateValue() to strip the time off during the test or add a day
to the end date.

Between [Enter Start Date] And DateAdd("d", 1,[Enter End Date])

I liked the first answer but I am throwing this idea in for similar
problems.
If I am running a query of a form with an easily entered bit of data I
sometimes use an invisible field to manipulate the data to the form I
want in this way I can re-use the manipulated data in a number of
queries simply by referring to the invisible field(s)

Access 2000 "Between" query question: I am relatively new to MS Access and everytime I think I have a basic concept of the program it pokes me in the eye with something I think would be simple to create. I want to create 2 separate queries for a label. I would like to have the query prompt me for the date I choose to start from until the present date and the other to prompt me for the date I choose to start from and 2 additional numbers...

I used "between and " in a query as a criteria to a field called ShipDate. Very strange, in the case between 1.10.2003 and 31.10.2003, then the records from 31.10.2003 don't show up. I have to modify it as between 1.10.2003 and 1.11.2003 for the records from 31.10.2003 show up. anybody had same problem? I check the Access Help but didn't get any clue. Thanks in advance

I have a query with this Between statement as the criteria: "Between And " If I key in June 2002 as the first quarter date and June 2004 as the second quarter date I get data for June 2002 upto March 2004 not June 2004. How can I change the Between statement to include June 2004 if I enter June 2004? TIA Tony Williams

My dbase has the start date and end date of each visit. How can I ask Access to list the day of the week of the start (easy), end (easy) and, more importantly, the dates of the visit itself - ie list the dates between the start and end date. Basically I am doing a day of the week analysis and need to know which day of the week is busiest.

Hi - I have had this problem MANY times and I just don't think I have the best solution. I am running a parameter query to retrieve records where work was completed between 2 dates. The "completed date" field contains both date and time (e.g., 11/4/07 15:44:00) and does need the time for the data to be properly recorded. That said, is it possible to format the parameter "Between and " to enable the user to enter just the

Hi, I'm not a newb to Access but have recently migrated to 2007 and suddenly my method doesn't seem to work. I'm generating a service award report where I need to show only those employees hitting a milestone during a certain period of time. I've had Access calculate the appropriate milestone date, and now I want to pull only those records where the milestone date is within a range of dates that the user enters. Here is an example of my WHERE...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
