Not sure from your questions what you are looking for. Does the following help?

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Dim strImagePath As String
  2.
  3.     strImagePath = Me.Image1.Picure ' should store the current path
  4.     Msgbox "The current image is " & strImagePath
  5.

Hello- I created a MS Access 2002 database with linked tables on a SQL Server database by way of a File DSN, A. I have created a form which points to one of the linked tables. After I finished testing it in the development environment I updated the path for all the linked tables to a new File DSN, B. After this action, I opened the form to test adding a new record and the "add new record" navigation button has been disabled. Can...

I have a database called autographs.mdb that is in the "XYZ" folder in the "database" folder. I have a form in the database that I want to display a photo of the celeb on. The photos are in a "graphics" folder that is on the same level as the "xyz" folder. The only way I can seem to make it work is to put the entire path including hard drive in the table (c:\database\graphics\photo.jpg). But I also want to upload the database to the web...

I have been using a SQL database with a VB5 frontend for about 5 years. Works well. Unfortunately I don't have access to the source code. I was tasked with implementing a "job entry" application that will allow a restricted list of users to enter jobs in the database. We do not want these users to be able to access all the data. I created an application in Access 2002 that performs this function seemingly quite well. However we now...

Hi, I have a form in which I need to display an image of our product. On our server is a folder which contains all the images. In our MySQL db to which our MS Access 2003 front end is linked, are paths to the specific image folder for each product. A variable carries over the required path of the image to the required form as:

I'm setting up an Access2003 database with pictures. I put a bound ole picture ctrl on a form that's source is the table that contains the pictures and follow ALL the directions for embedding a picture. The ctrl in the form only displays the filename of the picture. The underlying table, when opened in table view, shows the word "package" in the field. When I double-click on either it opens the picture, but I can't get it to display. ...

Hello I currently Link the FE/BE using the LinkTables Option and the Linked Table Manager. Any time I need to move the BE to another location, I have to go through this process over again. I need the flexibility of being able to move the BE data to wherever I want, without manually going through this process. I just want to change the Path/Filename that I keep in a FE Table. I want to be able to place a Path/Filename in a FE Table...

If someone could take pity and help me out with this before I drive myself completely nuts, then I would really appreciate it. Here's what I'm trying to do: I have an Access 2003 database containing a table which (amongst other things) holds the filenames of numerous jpeg images stored in an external folder. O/S is Windows XP Pro. btw. I also have a vb.net 2008 form connected to the database. That part works fine, all the fields show up...

Hello everyone, I am using Access 2003. In my database there is a table which is linked to an excel spreadsheet. When I move the mdb file to someone else's computer the spreadsheet will be in a different location. A location which I can not access from my own PC when designing the database, so can not use the Linked Table Manager to update the link. I need to find a way of telling the database where the source spreadsheet for the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
