Problem with subform master-child links (Access 2000 - SP3)

I have a prototype that has a main form with multiple tabs that are
dynamically loaded based on the process chosen from a menu. The main form is
linked to the projects table and the subforms are linked to various project
details. As long as I select a project that has subform details all is well.
I can select numerous projects in a row and the subform displays the correct
data. As soon as I select a project with no subform details (empty
recordset) the link between the parent and sub seems to become broken. I get
an empty recordset even if I select a new project with sub details and the
display is stuck on the last project with sub details. If I refresh the
subform links (reselect the process from the menu) the display is updated
with the current recordset.

I'm sure I could work around this problem by refreshing the links every time
I select a new project, but I'd rather avoid the overhead. Is this a known
bug? Any ideas what may be causing the issue?

How do I use VBA to insert a *new* record into a subform? I have a master form with client information, and a sub form with billing information. I want to click on a button ("Add Data") and have a record inserted into the subform's table, with date created and some information from the main table inserted into the proper fields in the subform. After the record is inserted, the data entry operator enters a Date Of Service and a billing...

I've got a tabbed form with the 2nd tab containing a subform. I'm trying to avoid the need to use the mouse to set focus to the first field on the subform. I can use <CTRL><TAB> to open the 2nd tab, but I can't get the first field to receive focus until I click in it. Here's what I've already tried/checked: 1) I've commented out the "On Current" event VB code. 2) The first field IS a tab stop and it's first on the tab order.

Hi All, I have the follwing query which is executed following the update of a combo box within a subform. When the subform is open in it's own window, it works fine, however, when I have the master form open and update the combo box, the query promps for !! & !!. I'm guessing that this is due to refering to a field within the subform and not the master form but I do not know how to work around this?

Ok, this is my 2nd ever post. 1st one was solved quickly. Thanks. Now I'm stuck again. My mdb has a main form with 3 subforms. Each tied to the succeeding by single autonumberID/foreign fields. Each of the subforms is in continuous form format. The forms seems to work well as far as viewing or adding records in each of the subforms, except sbf2. After I have added records in sbf4, everything still looks good. I can click around,...

I have a form which contains two subforms: and . The two subforms each have a SQL query to display their results in datasheet view and allow the user to tick which items have been billed. What I'm trying to do is to use another form to prompt the user for the ending date. The date entered is then used as the parameter in the subform SQL queries.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
