I am Trying to run a few dlookups on open of my form and as well as after update of my lookup. anyway when I tryed to put the dlookups in the on open event of the form I got the run time "You can't assign a value to this object" on the first dlookup which is needed for the last three to run. so i figured that I could try puting them in the on load event however they did not return any values when I tried to run a msgbox i got an error "you can't have a null value" or somthing allong those lines so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction here i know it's somthing stupid simple. Thanks in advance.

and here is the code

Me.Employee_ID = DLookup("[Employee_ID]", "Appraisal" , "[App_ID]" = "[Forms]![ThreeSity_Appra isal]![App_ID]")
Me.User_Name = DLookup("[User_Name]", "Appraisal" , "[App_ID]" = "[Forms]![ThreeSity_Appra isal]![App_ID]")
Me.Employee_Typ e = DLookup("[Employee_Type]", "Employee", "[Employee_ID]" = "[Forms]![ThreeSity_Appra isal]![Employee_ID]")
Me.Job_Title = DLookup("[Job_Title]", "Employee", "[Employee_ID]" = "[Forms]![ThreeSity_Appra isal]![Employee_ID]")
Me.Combo93 = DLookup("[Full_Name]", "[Full_Name]", "[Employee_ID] =" & "[Forms]![ThreeSixty_Appr aisal]![Employee_ID]")

I am working in C++ and have only one class that is derived from an Abstract class, I do not believe that this class object is causing me my problem. Below is that message I have posted before to other groups. Question:

Hello everyone I'm encountering a R6002 Runtime error and several bugs when trying to generate a simple Managed C++ application with .NET 2003. The main problem seems to arise from linking with LIBCMT(D).DLL. (My requirement is that we can't link with MSVCRT(D).LIB.) Below are steps I've followed, and the resulting problems 1. Using the New Project wizard, generate a Visual C++ .NET Class Library project (call it "Doomed") and a VC++...

I am working on converting a win32 console application from VC6 to VC7. My version is Microsoft Development Environment 2003 version 7.1.3088. The code works fine on VC6. it is a console program for scientific computation, so it has nothing to do with MFC. But it needs some other libraries such as MKL, sparselib, etc. VC7 can build the executable successfully. However, when i run it, there is only one line on the command window:

Hi, I need to convert set of Java classes exported from IBM Modeling environment to C# for implementation. When I invoke JCLA conversion from File->Open->Convert in Visual Studio 2005 it starts just fine parsing file after file but then it breaks on page 7 of JCLA Wizard. The dialog with runtime error is shown that says:

I am trying trap Runtime error 3022 (duplicates) in the click event of a command button that closes the form. I have code in the Form_Error event that does a good job of providing a more meaningful error message than the default. It works in every situation except when the user clicks the close button. I am using Me.Dirty=False to force a save but if there are duplicates I just get the standard Runtime 3022 error message. I am wondering...

Hi Everyone, I'm having this extremely annoying problem with Internet Explorer 6, giving me an error message saying "unknown runtime error" whenever I try to alter the contents of a <divelement using innerHTML. Now, I've researched this problem on the web, and found many references to it, but none of them quite addressed my specific situation, and since my experience with JavaScript is limited, I was not able to adapt the solutions I...

I am getting a Visual studio 2008 IDE application R6034 runtime error. This means that the IDE application is raising the error not the application I am building. This means that Microsoft did not follow its own advice as listed in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235560(VS.80).aspx and "build with a manifest". The DLL in question seems to be msvcr8.0.dll which is the VS2005 C runtime DLL. I am not sure why this is an issue in a...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
