Hi,
I have an application that watches a directory using FileSystemWatcher.
When a specific type of files comes over, I want to parse it and then move
it.
However, these files can be somewhat large, and the FTP process isn't
complete when I try to access the files. In those instances, an exception
is thrown when I try to access the file.

I am designing an Access 2000 database on a computer running Windows 98.
I have one form with several tabs; all of which have sub forms, some
with a subform on a subform.
For example, on my main Job form I have a tab for PO's to keep track of
all purchase orders pertaining to a specific job. The first subform is
for the PO numbers related to the jobs on the main form and the next
subform is for all of the PO lines for each PO. ...

Hi.
I'm having terrible trouble with a form that displays several
parent/child relationships at one time. It is a sales force hierarchy
- Sales force, district, territory, sales rep are the tables linked in
parent/child relationships.
I'm using a form to choose the main-parent and then several subforms
in datasheet view.

I need an Access application that can search dealers from my dealer
list, in a 30 miles distance from the user.
You may see many applications like this on the web if you search under
"find a dealer near you". Here is one I found:
http://www.shakespeare-antennas.com/content/dealersearch.asp
But I do not want to have it on the web, I want to create it on
access.
I think will need at least two tables:

I am hoping for a code example of how to do this, and hopefully it will
help me to see an easy way to code what seems to be a huge monster.
I need to create a form that has two pulldown menues (field names
Option1 and Option2). Each will house a list of the 50 U.S. States.
Users would then be able to choose two states, and get a listing for a
courier used for pickup\deliveries (exp: My order is in Ohio, but I
need it delivered to Maine....

Hi,
I'm trying to access the IFrame contents on a HTML page as
frames.document
But in IE, I'm getting Access Denied Error Message.
I tried to add the IFrame's Src WebSite (a local/intranet hosted dynamic HTML page) to Trusted Sites list in IE Options.

I'm very upset with Google's policy of indexing and allowing Google
advertising on forum web sites which are "slurping" content from
Usenet and Microsoft newsgroup servers.

Hi:
Here's a problem I've had for a long time. The client is really running
out of patience, and I have no answers.
Access2003, front- and back-end.
Single form with 4 subforms (each representing a related table), 5-10
clerks doing data entry at one time. Tables are quite large but all
work is done with unbound forms and/or local temp tables, and written

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
