I am attempting to add a calculated control that counts the number of records displayed in a subform. I have two seprate tabs, hopefully it will not change the value if I switch between the tabs. I have tried the following codes to no avail:
=MemberInformat ionSubform.Form !txtFirstNameCo unt
and Count*
Hoping that it would count the first name field entries that I have entered.

PrimeHawk, you haven't painted a very clear picture of what you have. It's very hard to help when the question isn't clear. We live on information.

Why not use the system message with the number of records at the bottom of the subform ?

Hi!
I have seen some techniques like this on the web. Currently, I'm using Combo
box which values came from database table. One disadvantage is when the
combo box have lots of values, users are complaining since you cannot use
keyboard to search the value that is needed. Hope you might help me.

Does anyone know how to use VBA to relink tables between two MS Access
databases? We have two databases, one with VBA code and the other with
data tables. The tables are referenced by linked tables in the database
where the code resides. If we move the database with the data tables to
a new directory, the links are no longer valid.
I tried to update the links by changing the Connect property and refreshing:
Set td = db.TableDefs(0)...

Hello Access Developers,
I'd like to know if it is possible to perform a count in an expression
that defines a control source.
My report is based on a query. In my report, I want a text box to
display the number of times a certain value appears in a certain field
(i.e. perform a ‘count'). I will be doing this for many values in many
fields so do not wish to have scores of queries to build my report.

Hi, I have an report in Microsoft Access and it displays everything in
the table. One column called "DECISION" in the table has either 1,2,
or 3 in it. On my report it displays 1, 2, or 3. I want to appear in
the report is Yes, No, or Maybe. What do I need to do to change what
appears in the report/what term do I need to search out in Google?
Thank you
Colin

I have a sales report where the sales are grouped by district. The report is
based on a query with criteria for sales date to get the sales in any
specified date range. I have code in the Format event of the district group
header. How do I get the count of sales in the current district in the code
in the Format event of the district group header?
Thanks!

Hello there,
I have a front end database that I have recently made very many changes
to to allow off-line use. I keep copies of the databases on my hard
drive and link to them rather than the live databases on the network.
Is there a way, via code, when I get back in-house from being on the
road to click a button, and select the backends I want to link to?
I would want to delete all the current links and link to the "live"

Hi all,
I am very new to MS Access so please bear with me! I have created a
simple calculated field in my data entry form, yet when I view my data
table or try to generate a report based on this calculated field, no
value is posted. How/where do I get my calculated values to also show
up in the tables and reports?
Thanks,

However, when I click "Filter by Form" in order to search for records based on this form, I would like to be able to enter a value in this "days" control so that I can filter records on the form based on this calculated interval (i.e., i want to search for records specifically where...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
