Hi group,
I am not sure if this is the correct place for my question.
If not, please tell me.
I tried to compile Python 2.3.4 under AT&T MP RAS SVR4:
$./configure --prefix=${HOME} --with-threads=no
$make
but make fails because each invocation of ld causes errors like:

I understand that with IIS5.1 on Windows XP Professional SP1, I can
1) Either set under IIS Manager-> Any specific Virtual Directory->
Configuration->Options->ASP Script timeout for all pages within that
directory OR
2) Within a specific page, set the timeout as per
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/en/server/iis/default.asp?url=/windows2000/en/server/iis/htm/asp/vbob246s.htm
e.g. <% Server.ScriptTimeout = 1 %>

The scenario:
-------------
I've created a simple COM object according to a tutorial I found:
http://www.csharphelp.com/archives/archive281.html
It automatically creates a Type Library (TLB) so that I can hook into the
object using the virtual table provided in the tlb file.

Hi
I have a situation where I want to use circular referencing. I have cut
down the example for demonstration purposes.
Say we have one executable (main.exe) and two DLLS (A1.dll and A2.dll).
Main can access classes in A1 and A2; A1 can access classes in A2.
However, I now want to access classes in A1 from A2. I cannot simply
create a third DLL as the A1/A2 assemblies use other classes within

Here's the Scenario I am facing:
I've got a winform managed c++ client which connects to my managed
COM+ server application (by making createinstance, then typecasting
the object to an interface, then calling methods over it). This COM+
server application is from a C# dll that has references to Interop dlls
(com type libraries written in unmanaged c++) and MC++ wrappers over
unmanaged c++ code. I've got object pooling enabled with (Min : 0...

I am attempting to convert an asp file to a asp.net file using C#.
The original file has an ActiveX control which is contained in a cab file.
The cab file contains the .ocx file which connects to a socket and transfers
client info to a server, as well as several .dlls
The cab file also references another cab file which contains files to
install on the client machine in case they do not have VBRuntime6 installed
on their machine.

Say I have a library (A.dll) with a method that accepts a collection of
a specific type. The type is defined in B.dll. In A.dll, I need to
loop through this collection and reference fields of the type.
For example, a Person type. It may have arm, leg, feet, and hands.
Hands is a collection containing types of fingers. The only way to get
at fingers is by accepting the parameter as its true type. This means
I'll need a file...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
