I have realy big problem. I have txt file linked as linked table to my mdb database. This table can contain aproximatelly 1 000 000 records (teoretically), but real count is 100-500 000 records. I have based Pivot chart on this table, but it takes maybe 2 minutes until data are accessed and prepared. Then it takes more then 3 minutes to refresh data according user selection. This table is STAND ALONE, without relations to other table. Is there any possibility to speed up this PIVOT Chart routines and problem? Please help me, I have no idea what to do...

The only speedup I can detect wil be the change of the user filtering.
When you change that query into a MakeTable query and base the Pivot chart on that, the Pivot processing might be faster, but the table creation will cost.
Only when you filter first and than do the Pivot will give an "overall" gain.

Does anyone know how to create a Pivot Chart at run-time? I have a database of meter readings that currently requires me to have 200 forms created so the user can enter date criteria and have a chart pop up. I would like to remove the forms and have them created at run-time. Any ideas?

From: "Martin" <Martin@discussions.microsoft.com> Subject: Pivot Chart Date: Monday, February 13, 2006 3:59 PM I am trying to learn how to use pivot charts. In 1995, if John took vacation 10/15 to 10/20, 11/9/ to 11/19 and 12/15 to 12/31, how would you set up the query and the pivot chart? Thank you!

Hello, I've created a form that contains a single unbound combo box and two subforms. The two subforms display the results of a query (driven by the combo box selection) in both tabular and pivot chart formats. The problem that I'm having is that the Pivot Chart that I've created rounds all of the values down to the nearest integer (e.g., 1.9 is rounded to 1.0, 0.6 is rounded to 0). As you can guess, this is a serious issue when I'm...

I was wondering if it was possible to export information from a pivot chart when double clicking on the item I want. For example I have a pivot chart with Four items in the legend and they are split up into four categories on the chart. If I double click on one of the items in one of the categories I want to export just the data for that item in that category. Or if I double click on the item in the legend it will export all the data...

This is a bit of a two-part question. 1. Is there a way to control what filters are placed on a pivot chart via vba. I can easily change the underlying query and refresh pivot chart but it's a big dataset and takes some time to load - my users are impatient! 2. If this is not possible to code filters on the chart are the any

Is there any way to show a field in a pivot table/chart that is calculated based on other fields of the pivot? I have the following table: Date; DescriptionField_1; Slots; EmptySlots I want to know the evolution of empty slots/slots ratio, and graph it on a chart; however, I need to be able to show the correct ratio as I drop and remove the DescriptionFields from the pivot. So I need that ratio field calculated based on the pivot...

I can't find any information on this. If I have an existing query and I want to dump it into a page on a spread sheet and modify it as a pivot table all in VBA, can I do that? I only have the code so far (that works) to dump in the data and create a chart based off it... except I have to manually alter the data I dumped in into a pivot table for the chart to make sense every time.... it sure would be nice if VBA would do it for me! Heres...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
