Folks,
I'm looking to build a database for my local drama group to sell tickets on
line, now I'm falling at the first hurdle as I need a sort of spreadsheets
view not a table view. So row A would be tickets 1 to 22, B 1 to 22 etc. Any
ideas how I could replicate this as I would want a single recurred in A1, A2
etc.
Help appreciated.

To get your "spreadshee t" view you need a crosstab query that includes
TblEventTicket, TblEvent, tblRow and TblSeat. To create a crosstab query
opento the database window, go to Queries, select New and select Crosstab
Query. Then follow the instructions. You would set a criteria for the
EventID field to display the tickets sold for a selected event. Rows would
be RowNumber, Column would be seat and Value would be a calculated field in
your query to dispay what you want in each "cell of the spreadsheet".

heart." Of course, it would be provable that it had actually been posted
had it been linked rather than copied.
I'm sure I would disagree with Tony if the implication was that your
technical answers are _always_ correct, because I've seen quite a few of
them corrected in recent times. On the other hand, providing answers rather
than just trolling for business is a step in the right direction!
