Unable to create Data Page

11 New Member
I have recently spent countless hours building, tweaking, and perfecting numerous forms and they all are working fine now and i'm nearly done...now all i have to do is put them as Web Data Pages, put on server and our networked database in in place. However, as a went to save my Form as a Data Page...i recieved an error.

"Microsoft office access is unable to create the data access page"
"The file does not exist, or you do not have read access to the file".

Does Access not allow you to save forms as web pages? I really would NOT enjoy having to redo all my forms from scratch as web pages.

Any ideas?

Data Access Pages are no longer supported with Access 2007 according to this from MS: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ac...CH101001011033

What this means is that you likely should look for another method to display your data on the web.

DAP had some serious limitations, which are likely why you were having troubles, namely:

1. subforms and subreports aren't exported.
2. tab controls on forms aren't supported
3. combo boxes and list boxes are limited to two bound columns, this cos HTML dropdown lists and list boxes can only display one column.
4. control sources that include references with Forms! expressions don't convert.
5. input masks and validation functions aren't included, but you can script the validation process with DHTML
6. subtotals and other aggregate values displayed in textboxes in report header and footer sections don't convert.

Regards,
Scott
