Hi all
I have a sorting problem, but my experience with Python is rather
limited (3 days), so I am running this by the list first.
I have a large database of 15GB, consisting of 10^8 entries of
approximately 100 bytes each. I devised a relatively simple key map on
my database, and I would like to order the database with respect to the
key.

I have to initialize a huge constant array of structures(60000~100000),
used as a lookup table , but it failed with
System.InvalidProgramException
when the items reach 18400. and if I change the item type from struct
to class,
the threshold is 35000 . It seems that there a size limition when
initialize constant in CLR.
Is there any configurable parameters can be used to increase this
limition in C# compiler
or .NET framework. Or I'm...

exception. To get an idea what happens I traced some values using performance
monitor and got the following values (for one day):

Execution: 7
\\FFDS24\ASP.NET Apps v1.1.4322(_LM_W3SVC_1_Root_ATV2004)\Compilations

Hi,
I have a VS2003 C# asp.net project that has been converted into a VS2005
project. Everything seemed to work well until I make a modification to
anything within the Component Designer window, i.e. I add a SQLCommand. At
that point VS2005 changes my C# file to now load all Selectcommantext data
from the resource file instead of the .aspx.cs file. then when I try and
once again run my application I get the following error: looking...

Hi,
Why for god sake they change implementation of String.GetHashCode() from
..NET 1 to .NET 2?
We were storing some user passwords in hashcode, now we can't upgrade
those clients with .NET 2 vesrion of our app as they will not be able to
log in.
I know, we shouldn't have dealt with hashcode in the first place, but we

ok so i have written a program in C where I am dealing with huge
data(millions and lots of iterations involved) and for some reason the
screen tends to freeze and I get no output every time I execute it.
However, I have tried to reduce the amount of data and the program
runs fine.
What could possibly be done to resolve this ?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
