Jetcomp & Access 2007

Tried compacting multiple dbs with Jetcomp(V4.0 1997-98). Only one
out of twelve compacted correctly. Used the built-in 'Compact and
Repair' facility and all compacted correctly.

Is Jetcomp no longer valid for use with Access 2007?

Will an updated version be released?

Very few applications are "forward compatible", and JetComp is no
exception.

Do you need one? What would it offer that the built-in one does not?

As part of our nightly upgrade routine, we perform a database compact and repair on our customers databases. At one of our customers, the jetcomp application crashes causing the database to be destroyed. I took the Bart down to San Francisco and joined a couple thousand other nerds to watch the Vista/Office launch. The receptionist was quite pleasant and getting the event packets a smooth process. First we watched the standord keynote session where companies that have implemented Vista extolled its virtues. Vista appears to be a nice operating system. I think the desktop action

We unfortunately have multiple versions of Access running, including Access 97. My system was recently upgraded to Office 2007. Now, whenever I open an Access 97 db and subsequently open another db using Access 2007, the software goes through a two minute configuration/ setup routine. The installing tech acknowledged this issue and said they had a registry hack that prevented the problem with Access 97 and Access 2000 but as of yet...

I created a database using full blown access 2007. I have put it out for users to grab and test using Runtime Access 2007. They have entered data and now I need to go back into a table and change a setting for a different test. I am opening the same database using full blown MS 2007 and when I do, it appears I have no tables or queries. I have gone to the navigation pane, navigation options and set the property to show hidden objects but the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
