Getting a single RTF document from multiple RTF controls

Here's a follow-up to my "Concatenat ing Rich Textbox Controls Into A Single
File" message. I didn't get any useful responses to that message, so I
assume that there isn't a direct way to create a single RTF document from
multiple RTF controls (using MS Rich Textbox control 6.0 in Access 2000). So
here's the method I came up with.

Create a temporary RTF document from each control; open Word through
automation; create a new doc and then use Insert File to insert all the
temporary documents into the file.

That should work; but I'd prefer to not have to open Word through
automation, as it's time-consuming.

Thus, if anyone knows of a way to create an RTF document from multiple RTF
controls strictly in code, I would much appreciate knowing about it.

Thanks!

Neil

After doing a search through google's archives of this list, I didn't see what I was looking for so here goes... Is it possible to serialize/deserialize multiple objects from a single XML file? I was looking to use the XML serialization to be able to translate complex XML elements in a single XML file through XML serialization as opposed to using SAX and coding my own serializer. However, the XML Serialization API appears to only...

I have a seating chart web form that has over 50 entry field controls (tables/booths) where I use a DropDownList box to select a single company name from a single large list of organizations (200 plus conference attendees). All web form datavalues will be one of the same 200 organizations in this list. I would like to avoid creating 50 separate exact copies of the same DataSet object. Can you help? Q. Exactly how do I use the same...

While developing an internal IE6-only webapp, a discussion started about the 'best' way to apply classes to data tables across multiple pages. The two arguments were: 1. Apply a single class to each table. That class (possibly in combination with other classes on child elements) controls every part of the table - layout, colors, fonts, etc. Example: class="data" PROS: Easier to standardize, less specificity confusion, everything is...

I would appreciate your thoughts and opinions on the following: I am looking to render documents into multiple document formats. At a minimum the documents will need to be rendered as HTML, and separately as PDF. Ideally we could also offer a subset additionally as xls and docx (Excel and/or Word 2007) files. All files will be distributed via ASP.NET Web site. This is a "greenfield" project using .NET 3.5, and I can do whatever I want.

I have an image with a class and the class defines a clip rectangle. In Firefox 2 and 3, and Opera 9, I can access the rectangle with document.defaultView.getComputedStyle(). But that doesn't seem to work in Safari for Windows 3, nor when I use image.currentStyle.clip in IE 7. Is there a way to do this in those browsers? Am I doing something stupid?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
