Report printing pages out of order.

I have a problem with pages being printed out of order. An example is
a 15 page duplexed report. Title page fine back of title page blank.
(As it should be) SEcond page front, bottom says Page 1 of 15. Second
page back says Page 10 of 15. Third page front says Page 3 of 15.
Third page back says Page 4 of 15. Special not Page 10 of 15 is the
correct page IE it duplicated page 10 and placed it in place of page
2. The real page two is missing from the report.

If you rerun and reprint the report, it usually prints perfectly. But
ther have been an istance where the same report printed wrong ( in
different places) 3 times in a row. After the user rebooted, it
printed fine.

Yesterday she ran about 12 reports of this type. 6 came out wrong the
first time. They were not back to back but randomly scattered among
the twelve. She was not running anything else. And there was enough
time between reports (She checked each one as they were finished)
before she printed the next one.

Last Monday and Friday she ran at least 30 each day and only had one
print out of order.

She is printing to a networked Toshiba Studio 310c. Big printer that
can collate, punch, duplex, staple... They also run big duplexed
publisher reports without this issue.

Just this February they switched to Vista and Office 2007. There
isn't a vista print driver for this printer yet, but we were able to
get the windows xp driver to work. No other program has this issue.
Also there are many other reports within the msaccess program and none
of them print pages in the wrong order.

Does anyone have any suggestions.???

Just curious, what happens if not duplexed? Does it print correctly
everytime?

What happens if you do a preview first and print from the preview? Does
the preview also show the data incorrectly ordered or does it display
correctly?

Do you have another printer you can check it out on?

Do you have a PDF writer you can send the report to? Does it come out
correctly?

What happens if you create a new report? Open the corrupt/problem-child
report and copy/paste the controls into the new report as well as the
code mod then delete the old and rename the new report to the old report
name.

All, I have exhaustingly been looking through the newsgroups in search of a way to systemically output an Access 97 report to a pdf file using the full version of Adobe Acrobat. I want the user to be able to click a button and have the Access report saved as a pdf in a directory specified by me the programmer. I have seen a posting by John Baker promoting a web-sight that has an mde that one can reference in any database but after 30...

I have greated a report and have included a page break in it. The report breaks were it is supposed to but then it creates a blank page between the two pages. Since this report will print out approx 20 pages (without the blank pages) it is large waste of paper. I have tested the report by setting the data source so that only one page will print and all the data fits on page. I have checked all the printing parameter, set the print magins...

Hi, I need to timestamp printed records with the printing date. According to the customer's requests the report must be opened in preview-mode and the user clicks on the printer button if he really want to have a hardcopy. The customer selects the records with a special selection form, where he can combine up to appr. 20 different criterias, which are combined to a more or less complex filter string. This string is then written to the...

When I export xml(and xls) from Access 2003 the result is a complete report in a single page. I would like to get the entire report in a single page (one trip to the server) for printing and scrolling-preview, but with page breaks and page numbering appropriate to the paper size. I have a sense that this can be done in xsl, since xsl defines the format for everything else in the report. My goal is to avoid the time and expense of...

Hi, I hope you may be able to help a coding novice. I have a fairly simple db which extracts data to a report via a query, my problem is the report is three pages per record set and a total of 3000 sets. When I send the report to our printer/copier for stapling, Access and the printer think it's one job and treats the report as one document instead of 3000 sets of three pages, and tries to staple the whole job together. I think I need to...

Evening, I have a form that uses 5 pages (it's an electronic copy of the paper version) we are going to use for manufacturing non conformances and product deviations. In case your wondering, it's 5 pages to get the risk assessment done before it gets to my area in QA and the db is a way to electronically archive the information for regulatory compliance reporting. Anyway, I've been merrily going along making a report the same as the...

Most suggestions on this topic recommend to use a page footer and make it visible only on the last page. My problem is that the footer is half of the height of a page which means the detail would show on only the top half of each page with whitepace at the bottom of each page. How can I get the detail to fill each page with my "half page height" report footer at the bottom of the last page? Any suggestions to solve this would be...

Hello, I have 7 different crystal reports that need to be collated. Since I want to end up with a page of each (which all together make a single report), I created a blank main report and then added the 7 as subreports so they can print one after the other. I'm supposed to be printing them from a VB.Net 2003 application and I will be passing 2 parameters (start and end dates). These reports are huge (over 1000+ pages each). My original...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
