Hi
I have a report that has loads of textboxes that calculate things based on the value on another textbox in the report. I have put a hidden textbox on my report that gets its value from an inputbox when the report opens. I then want to use the value inputted in a DSUM calculation on the same form.
The hidden textbox is called tbHolddate, its control source is:
=InputBox([Please insert date])
The textbox that calculates a value using a DSUM control source is:
=DSum("[Man Value]","Actual Data 2","[Sector]='IB' and [Date]>" & [tbholddate])
The error I get is #NAME
When I hard code a date into the DSUM formula it works fine, for example:
=DSum("[Man Value]","Actual Data 2","[Sector]='IB' and [Date]>#01/06/2006#")
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

I think it just the syntax, you have to treat a date the same whether its hardcoded or referenced. Try: -
=DSum("[Man Value]","Actual Data 2","[Sector]='IB' and [Date]> #" & [tbholddate] & "#")

Hi:
At the bottom of a report, I wish to sum all the amounts that appear in a field called
Discount$ that appears on the report. I am not doing this summing in the query that
supports the report because I have sprinkled the discounts amount into every record, and
it only applies in the totals summary for each invoice.
In any case, the Field is called Discount$ and the report is called RINV1Q1. How do I
reference the field in the report...

Hi, I have an report in Microsoft Access and it displays everything in
the table. One column called "DECISION" in the table has either 1,2,
or 3 in it. On my report it displays 1, 2, or 3. I want to appear in
the report is Yes, No, or Maybe. What do I need to do to change what
appears in the report/what term do I need to search out in Google?
Thank you

The following query takes about one second to execute with less than 1,000
records, but the report that's based on it takes from 15-30 seconds to
format and display. That's frustrating for both me and the end user. The
report is a student grades sheet showing the results of all his/her
activities and final grade for all students in any course--one page per
student. Should I break this into several smaller queries? use DAO inside

Alright you all have been so helpful with everything else that I thought I'd run one more issue by you. I have put together a report that is driven by a query. This query (Unique Records) returns all unique records in a table (DDRS Data). Each unique record is a string of elements from the table (15 different ones total) and I'm trying to get the report to sum the multiple dollar amounts that appear for each unique record. I've used the DSum...

Hi,
I have a text box on report where I need to have dsum return a total.
The records I need the total from are not in the table that is the report's recordsource, and to complicate things further, I need to use a variable that is derived from behind the report in the criteria for the dsum.
When I try to see print preview, this version of the statement errors before opening saying "Access cannot find the field 'SavingsPeriodEndDate'...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
