This Simple MAPI module was Ian's completed version of an example
I had posted in an earlier message. In it I had to set some pointer
fields in a C structure to NULL. I was not happy with the solution I
used so I made an inquiry on the ctypes-users...

Hi,
I know I can create e-mails and send them using System.Web.Mail, but I was
wondering how can I do it using the POP3 settings on Office Outlook or
Outlook Express.
The problem I have is some users are being denied access to relying directly
to the smtp server, but they can send using outlook's POP3 settings.
Thanks,

I am currently using a VB.NET program to send out e-mails with
plain text bodies (plus one attachment). The emails are being
received as Rich Text messages (probably just my personal Outlook
default, because I didn't do this in the program), but there is no
actual formatting (italics, color, etc.) in the message body, which
is passed to from VB.NET to Outlook as an unformatted text String.
I want to start applying formatting to the...

My C#.NET console app checks a public folder every 24 hours for incoming emails.
For each unread email in the folder, it copies any attachments to the network, then loads the contents of these files
into a SQL Server database, and marks the email as read.
My problem is that in the loop that checks for all the Unread emails in the folder,
as I spin through the loop, the number of unread items is being reset for every iteration.
So...

I am familiar with "sendobject" and have no trouble sending emails and Access generated objects as attachments.
I can also find the required attachments using FileDialog(msoFileDialogFilePicker), but don't know/find the appropriate VBA command to sent the email and attachment.
Hope someone can Help

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
