Attatch OLE objects to a plain text email

2 New Member
Hi,
For my company, I am building a database to log product and software faults
What happens is, when we do R&D on a product or piece of software or we find the fault out in the field somewhere, we input all this data into the main form, along with pictures, config files, or pdf reports etc etc.

I have a button on the main form that when pressed, exports the required data into a plain text outlook email, ready for editing or sending to our head company in the US

I also wish that all the OLE objects contained in the main table are sent along with this email.

Is this possible or will i have to export the objects to a temp directory and import them into the email seperatly

Will post Code when i tidy it up a bit (very unconventional naming system) :-).

Thanks, Anthony

Hello. I'm looking for a simple way to do the following: We have a database that serves-up content to a website. Some of those items are events, some are news articles. They're stored in the DB as formatted HTML so ASP just drops them right into a page shell. Now, we want to send out a newsletter email containing some of those items....

Hi, Hopefully this is not too much offtopic. I'm working on a FAQ. I want to make two versions of it, plain text and HTML. I'm looking for a tool that will make a plain text doc out of the HTML doc. The HTML version doesn't have anything fancy, just internal links. So the tool must be able to delete internal links and anchors from the...

I'm not sure this message is totally appropriate for this group, so please, if anyone has a better group suggestion, let me know! My company sends out a monthly newsletter in HTML format to our account holders. We get a couple of people with auto-responders saying they don't accept HTML e-mails, please send plain-text. Is there some way...

I'm working on a (non-trivial) project which includes various & numerous objects, some in my direct source control, some not. I'm finding the need to somehow associate one object with another, somewhat arbitrarily. The previous implementation (in C++) used external maps that would create a 'link' between these objects. Needless to say,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
