I don't know if there's even a way to do what I want. I click on a button in an Access form, and it opens an instance of Excel, and opens a workbook and runs a macro that's in it. So far, fine, I know how to do this. I'm preferring to keep the Excel instance invisible, but while the macro is running, it would be nice to see some sort of progress indicator. (By the way, here's basically what the Excel macro is doing: it's opening...

I have a user who has been using Excel for a while to keep statistics and print reports. She finds using it cumbersome because of long formulas and a lot of copying and pasting. I have designed a database for her which is intended to make things a lot easier; however, I don't have a lot of experience with Access and I find that designing the reports in Access is tedious. I want to be able to print the reports (which are simply based on...

Is there a way to code the button that's available in the query window--microsoft excel icon that exports to excel. I know transferspreadsheet will do this---but I want the query, which is in a pivot table view, to be exported as a pivot, not just a data list. Does this code exist? Is it transferspreadsheet but with a twist?

Hoping someone has some ideas on how to solve this issue: I have a macro in excel which runs a query against an Access DB (it actually calls a query inside of Access). The query is not bringing back all of the records even though I can run the query directly in Access or Microsoft Query and get all the records returned. For ease of troubleshooting the query can be a simple select * call from the macro to Access. Even with this basic call...

Hello All, Excellent info here Thanks! I am very new to using access in general and I am on a learning curve. I'm trying to import an excel workbook (with worksheets) into an access db via a macro. (I'll get to using VB later on). What I would like to do is import a single workbook w/three seperate worksheets into three seperate access tables AND truncate the time stamp that is used in the excell sheet via a macro.

Hi all!! I need help, I have been stuck for a few days on this one. I am trying to open an excel table from a command button in Access. The excel table has an auto_open macro, that is supposed to run everytime I open excel. When I navigate to the excel file, and open it, it autoruns the macro with no problems. When I go from Access hit the command, the excel table opens with no problem, but the macro does not auto run on start. Here is...

Good Morning Folks; I have a question that is pretty far fetched but here goes nothing... I am looking to find a way to insert a macro into an Excel command button located in an Access VBA generated Excel spreadsheet from an Access Module. I can create the spreadsheet, button, and I have the macro to insert into command button. But I am not sure how to assign the macro to the button in the access module. Set xlApp =...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
