A REPORT? What would be the purpose? You can copy the report into
another database, or link to the query that drives the report, but I
don't think you can "export" one.

Maybe you could explain what you're trying to do so someone coul dtell
you the proper way to do it? I find more often than not people
request the craziest stuff just because they don't know any better.

You can Import it.
From the database you wish to import the report into, click on
File + Get External Data.
Select Import.
Navigate to the database that contains the report.
Click on the Reports tab.
Select the report.
Click OK.

Of course the report won't run properly unless you also change it's
record source to a table or query in this database that has the same
field names.

Hi,

I have created a report for one of our customers on my local machine
using a copy of their DB. I had a copy of their DB on a USB drive,
but now realize the DB itself is too big to send via email over to
them. So Im looking for a way to send the new report to them without
having to send the whole DB with it. I am not sure if this is
possible.

Thank you for your time and thought.

btw, Im a from Boston, congradulations to your Colts this year. Still
gotta like Manning even though he's the enemy. =)

Sincere Regards,

Ray

Hi All! Is it possible to export an Access Report? Not the report that is produced when the report is run, but the actual framework, or source, of the report. I'm trying to debug a report I didn't create, and in one field in the GroupFooter, the Control Source property references another field, but I cannot find the field referenced in the GroupFooter section, nor is it part of the underlying query of the report, nor is there any VBA...

Greetings, two of my users have the same front end db (A2K). Each of them has created, in addition to the standard reports, a personal customized report. Now they both want to be able to run both reports. Is there a way I can export a report definition - not the report and not the data - from one user to another, or do I have to manually re-create for each guy the other guy's custom report? I know you can do it in Crystal Reports and...

In a Vista/IIS7 asp.net app, a coded crystal report export is crashing IIS7....but it works just fine in visual studio's cassini web server. And if I create a web form and use the crystal reports web viewer, view the report and then export from the viewer it also works fine (IIS7 and cassini). And I should note this all works fine in IIS6 on win2003 or in xp. So my thought with all this is that something is going on with IIS7, so...

This is not a question but rather an answer, or at least a clue. Like others, I had experienced seemingly random truncation of text when exporting a perfectly good Access report to RTF. Or rather, one person experienced it when another didn't, running the same database on the same computer, both accessing it via Remote Desktop Connection. This problem made no sense until we found that we had different screen resolutions, and that when...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
