Is It Possible To Export Access Report Definitions?

Greetings,

two of my users have the same front end db (A2K). Each of them has
created, in addition to the standard reports, a personal customized
report. Now they both want to be able to run both reports.

Is there a way I can export a report definition - not the report and
not the data - from one user to another, or do I have to manually
re-create for each guy the other guy's custom report? I know you can
do it in Crystal Reports and FileMaker, but what about MS Access?

Thanks,
Yisroel

If I understand correctly, you can create a blank mdb and use File->Get
External Data->Import to import any object from another mdb.

Yes, but you have to import the report into the new DB rather than
export it from the old one. Open the database you want to import the
report to and select Import from the "File - Get External Data" menu.
Use the file dialog to select the DB that has the report. Once you
selected the DB a form will appear that allows you to import any DB
objects.

I can do this individually for each graph but this does not help me as I need both on the same JPEG. I thought I would try an export the form that contains both but I am having trouble. I would like to send the Print Preview of a MS Access form to a Snapshot file. The form contains an OLE graph. BACKGROUND A snapshot of a report is possible. If I could I would use a report to display the graph but it is not possible to send query parameters to an OLE graph on a report (or programatically change any properties of an OLE Graph). However with a Form you do have the ability to change the RowSource of

Hi all, I need some help -- I'm working with an A2K database, using DAO, and am trying to read records into a Crystal Report and then export it to a folder on our network as an Excel spreadsheet. I'm having trouble with my code at the point at which it hits ".ReadRecords" -- the module just runs and runs without generating anything. I've gotten this code to correctly save .rpt files without any data, but not with data, nor have I been...

Hi! I would like to export some MS-Access reports output to pdf. However, the only possibility offered by Access (afaik) for me to export formatted output is snp (snapshot) (I use MS-Office XP Prof. 2002 version). With formatted output I mean the *exactly* output I produce from executing my report (information is gathered from an ODBC database).

I am working on a trade processing project for my company. I would like to export a report directly to .csv format. I have looked all over in the groups for a way to do this. Appearently something that would seem to be fairly simple is not. I had mixed success dropping the report into excel but upon export is carried over the field headers that I dont want to appear in the CSV extract. I really dont want to have to use xls. I want to...

I have written an ASP/VB.Net application via VS 2003 (Crystal V9) that uses MS Access 2000 as its database. I can export reports that have no linked sub reports for printing. However, I'm unable to export reports that have linked subreports. I receive (a "Missing parameter field current value") on the following statement: Me.crReportDocument.Export() The main report requires 4 parameters. The linked reports do not require any...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
