Saving export to local drive is very slow

KNN
I am running the frond end Access 2003 application under Citrix.
There is no problem running the appcilation in this mode. When I try
to export a report and select a drive on the citrix server, MSAccess
generates exported data successfully within few seconds.

Problem is when I select my local drive as the destination.

If I select my local drive (C$ mapped to V$) under export dialog box
then it takes a long time. Minutes to Hours.

I cannot blame the connectivity, since after saving the file on the
server, I can copy the same file to my local drive within seconds.

Thanks

Hi, I finally figured out the best way to synch local and remote script folders, containing many php script files. What I used to do before was try to ftp all the changed files, etc. which was tedious and often broke. It was also very slow. What I do now is to pkzip the folder up, ftp the pkzip’ed data to remote, and then unzip it...

Hi there, SUMMARY: 1) When I use phpadmin to export a large database, the file created on my local PC never containes all the tables and information. It seems to max out at about 10mb. 2) Will running mysqldump from command line on a live in-use DB (with one table containing 350,000 rows) pose any risks and have any large effect of...

I am a little confused by DB2 Backup and Export. I used "db2 backup db QAS to /dev/rmt0" backuping 650GB database to a IBM LTO 3581 (1 drive) only 11 hours. But I used "db2 export to /dev/rmt0 of ixf messages MKPF.msg select * from mkpf" on the same 3581, and this table is only 5GB, but the export used 4 hours. What's the diffirent between...

Used VB.NET (on my client PC) to convert VB6 executable to .NET executable. Placed the .exe file on a network drive on my server. From client, ran .NET Wizards "Trust an Assembly" to make the .exe (on the network drive, on the server) "Full Trust." From the client, double-click on the ..exe (on the network drive, on the server) and it runs...

Hi everyone, Ok, here's the deal. I have a laptop installed with VS 2005. I'm programming in C#. When I am at home, connected to my LinkSys router, it saves fine. However, whenever I am anywhere else, it saves very slowly (takes about 1 minute), on the same file(s). Any ideas? Thanks! Chad

We have an ASP.NET 2.0 web application running on a Windows 2003 domain controller. Part of that application needs to read and write files from and to a network share ( living on a MAC Xserveraid) on the same network segment. I mapped a drive on the server to that share. When mapping the drive, I could enter access credentials for the shares...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
