What combination of key strokes/presses will unconditionally shut down A97 w/o warning?

MLH
I'm a poor typist. I do it all the time. I never
can recreate the killer key-combo if trying.
Its always accidental and it generally results
in my having to redo the last 15-20 minutes
worth of work.

I can't see how you loose 15-20 minutes of work, since each new record you
navigate to means that your last record was saved.

since saving is automatic, the most you can loose is your current record.

however, the standard keys to close a ms-access window are

ctrl-f4 this key has worked for about 15 years now in
windows...going all the way back to windows 3.1
ctrl-f4 is the same as if you clicked on the "x" button for your form.
however, this will still keep ms-access open.

alt-f4 This key will close the appcation....

Its easy - two simple steps. (1) work on a class modul for 15 minutes
without saving it. (2) press the key-combo you described.
Upon reopening the app, you'll notice the work is gone.

Is there any way to disable the key-code combo within Access
97 as a default so it won't accidently happen?

Have ported Until 2.5.2 which is a highly portable embedded FORTH-like language system to BeOS. Turned on -Wall cause I'm anal about cleaning up ports if I'm doing them, and have all but ONE warning that I don't seem to be able to get cleaned up... Simply... printf("%-10s %12lx %1d\n", temp->NFA->name, &temp, temp->NFA->immediate); produces a gcc2.95 warning: prim.c: In function `display_word':

Is there anyway to hold the base.WndProc(ref m) until after the Logout() function finishes loading a webpage?? I'm working on shutting down an app that runs in the system tray, I have no problems shutting down, but I have problems saving data first. if the base.WndProc(ref m) is placed at the top, it closes, but the system does not continue to shutdown and it does not save the data via the Logout() funtion. If the base.WndProc(ref m)...

Hi, I wrote a Windows service for a client a few months ago, and the client has now asked me to modify it so that it shuts itself down under certain circumstances e.g. a catastrophic failure of the network, SQL Server connectivity problems etc. I've tried to explain that this probably isn't a very good idea nor is it even necessary because the service has sufficient error and exception handling code to take account of such situations...

On MS site: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/esew7y1w(VS.80).aspx is the following garbled rambling: "You can avoid exporting classes by defining a DLL that defines a class with virtual functions, and functions you can call to instantiate and delete objects of the type. You can then just call virtual functions on the type."

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
