ImageBox Picture Property will not delete

I have an ImageBox with PictureType set to LINK.
I have a string with a path strPicFolderPat h = "C:\Picture s"

In the OnCurrent event of the form I have this code:

If Len(Nz(Me.txtPH OTOFILENAME.Val ue, "")) <0 Then 'File name exists
If Len(Dir$(strPic FolderPath + Me![txtPHOTOFILENAM E])) <0 Then

'File found
Me![imgFrame].Picture = strPicFolderPat h +
Me![txtPHOTOFILENAM E]
Else
'Image File Not Found, but the file name is in the record.
Me.imgFrame.Pic ture = ""
End If
Else
Me.lblFileMissi ng.Visible = False
Me.imgFrame.Pic ture = ""
End If

My problem is that the PICTURE property of the ImageBox Dialog is
physically showing the "C:\Picture " path. I want to delete this path
from the ImageBox Dialog, but it will not delete, it just keeps
reappearing. Why???
Even with the above code disabled, the Path remains in the Picture
property!
This is causing an error "Microsoft Access can't open the file path"
How can I correct this???

I solved the problem. The path in the Picture Property had to be set
to (none).
I could not get this to work by manually deleting it as mentioned, so I
played around with the lookup button to the far right of the Picture
Property of the ImageBox dialog
and was able to get (none).

Ok, I'll explain the whole problem because there may be several ways to solve this and hopefully someone knows one. What I'm doing is creating a specialty template editor, similar to say a corel draw (but for specific uses). What I need to be able to do is import graphics and text and then move them around the background until they are where I want them and then export it out as an image file. The problem is that I need to be able to...

This one is driving me crazy. I have a table which stores pictures in an OLE Object column, one per record with a few other text fields (caption, date, etc). This table is maintained with a form to which the fields of the table are bound. When the form opens, focus is set in the Bound Object Frame (olePhoto). At this stage of development, I am simply pasting bitmap pictures into the frame and saving them. The problem arises when I...

Hi there everyone, I have a part info form which has a faded image of our company logo as a background. I want to replace the faded image with a bright red warning image on items which have run out of purchasing cover. I am nearly there, the only problem is that the code below only changes the image background for text and combo-box backgrounds, it doesn't apply it to the whole form.

I am trying to display an image in a picture box. The image is a group 4 fax black and white image of a piece of sheet music. The original resolution is 300 X 300 dpi. I want to have the picture box as large as possible so I can view the scanned image on my computer screen. At run time, I want to be able to view different files by changing the image file name property. I thought the picture box could be setup so that the image would be...

Setting form's Picture property to another file from within VBA doesn't repaint the form with new bitmap - for instance... Me.Picture = "c:\pics\MyNewPic.jpg" I tried Me.Repaint afterward, to no avail. Ideas? Suggestions?

I'm working on distributing a database using VS Tools for Office, and am having trouble with linked images on forms/reports. The image objects have a default path\file set on the .Picture property, which becomes invalid when the user installs the database (ie: c:\devpath\ becomes c:\program files\mydbapp, but the .Picture property still points to c:\devpath\) The problem is that I don't *know* what installation path the user will select,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
