Add Custom Colors on Startup

Can someone point me in the right direction...

We have changed our logo and colors and I am redesigning numerous
reports. Does anyone know a way to add custom colors whenever I start
up my database, so that I don't have to continually add them again
every time I reopen the database?

I'd like to add them in the custom colors wheel thingy, for use on any
forms and reports. You know, where you define the RGB numbers and add
them to the custom color list.

Josetta,

What you can do is make a table where you store the numbers (the numbers
that Access inserts in the property setting after you set the color) and a
description of the color. You could even actually store a swatch of the
color if you want. Then when you need one of your custom colors, just
consult this table, copy the color number, and paste it into the appropriate
property setting. The table could be imported into any database you're
working on and deleted later.

Hello all, I'm sure there is, just can't figure it out. I have the RGB code and the color number. But the color doesn't exsist in Visual studio.net. Can I add this color to the system pallet it self, so I can add the custom color to fonts? I need to match as close as possible to the color I was given. Thanks Rudy

Please, help. I created my contol, ButtonX, which subclasses System.Forms.Windows.Button class. I am doing my own paiting, by overriding OnPaint and OnPaintBackground (without calling base class's OnPaint & OnPaintBackground). My button has a shape of rectangle with rounded corners and is filled with gradient brush, where user specifies the gradient colors. The dilema I have now is how to paint the button when it's disabled (Enabled =...

Hi Gurus .. I would really appreciate some insights for the problem that bugs me for quite some time. I keep my custom controls in their own shared (private/public key signed) assembly. I need to have it shared. Usually I work with a Web application project that has a reference to my shared, custom controls assembly. Web project is a "Startup Project". I need to be able to set a breakpoint in my Custom Controls (shared) project. VS.NET...

I have built a custom control which sits on a panel. There is another panel on the form with a splitter between them. The custom control has a tab control on it, and I need to do two things: (1) When the control is loaded the FIRST tab seems to take it's scroll bar colors from the System (XP) rather than the control colors. The other tab uses the control colors. How do I reset this? (2) When I click on the SECOND tab, I want to resize...

Hi everyone/anyone, I am using a button in my app that opens the color dialog, and allows the user to select a color which changes the backcolor of a label. I then store the color in my db as a hash value, since i found this to be the easiest way to store it. However, i want the user to be able to add custom colors. When they create a custom color within the dialog, it is not saved there on returning to the dialog. I was thinking about...

Hey all, I want to burn an access database to a disc, and give it to someone else. Is there anything i need to do to ensure that the custom menu bar I created for the startup form goes with it,? like in startup options, form properties etc. I cant find anything like in Word or Excel that gives an option to store it either in the file or globally. Ive left all boxes checked in the startup options except 'show database window', and 'display...

I know that it is possible to force Access 2007 to the display custom menu bars for an Access database developed in an earlier version by using the customisation settings in A2007 to nominate a custom menu bar to display on startup. However is it possible to achieve this from within the earlier version, perhaps by using code, so that one doesn't have to use A2007 to set the custom menu bar? It seems that even if an application written...

While more experienced users can pretty much tell a color from its hex, new users can't. Named colors do help with consistancy and new developers. Is it possible to create custom named color lists (or other variables) at design time?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
