Crosstab Column Order

Tom
Hi:

I'm using a crosstab query to export data to an Excel spreadsheet for
further processing. The source of the data for the crosstab is a
temporary table. The temp table has 3 fields:
* MonthYear (row header in the crosstab)
* CriteriaName (column header in the crosstab)
* CriteriaValue (value in the crosstab)

There are only 6 distinct values in CriteriaName, two of which are
"Total1" and "Total2". The other 4 are dependant on the underlying
data and will change.

I want the "Total1" and "Total2" fields to be either the first two or
last 2 fields in the crosstab query. How do I accomplish this? I
don't think I can use the query's ColunmHeading properties since the 4
"variable" named columns aren't know in advance.

Thanks
Tom

First, I should start by saying I am creating a database to be used by some very impatient, non-computer literate people. It needs to be seameless in it's operation from their point of view. I want them to do as little as possible when they run their reports. I have a crosstab query that displays usage of items for each month. It looks pretty much like this: ITEM DESC UM 12/02 1/03 2/03 3/03 ...ETC. 1 Solution ...

Dear Access 2000 users, I have a crosstab query that puts together certain information perfectly. It has a criteria that is based on a form that limits how many columns are returned based on the date selected. Here's the problem: The report that the crosstab query feeds was initially created to show all the dates and thus, all 26 columns. However, since I modified the crosstab query to only return up to what is selected on the...

I've searched everywhere but can't find a KB article or forum message about this one... Excel Pivot Tables differentiate between +0 (zero) and -0 (negative zero)and now that I've moved over to Access 2002 (from 97) and I've found the same thing. However, I've used a Pivot Table to produce a summary across a standard distribution (-1 to 1 in increments of 0.05) and this works fine (both zeroes shown) but when I attempt to recreate this...

Operating in A97. I didn't receive much of a response conserning Pivot tables in Access. Pivot tables are nice, but a CrossTab will work for me too. Using a Pivot table, one is actually launching Excel for data viewing. I'd prefer the user stay in Access. Creating dynamic crosstab queries is pretty simple. The problem is that the column count may shrink or grow depending on the filter.

I'm using Access 2002. I'm creating a report dynamically using a crosstab query. I found the code for this on the Microsoft site. I noticed that the report doesn't go past six pages. How can I make the report go past six pages? Also is there a way to sort the total column in descending order? Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
