Issue in the field of hyperlink data type

I have a search form built with Access 97 and now I upgraded to Access 2003.
On one field of the resulting form, I have a field of hyperlink data type
containing the path of the file, i.e., Disk P001\ABC doc 12-01.tif. I use
the same data entry procedure to insert a hyperlink and got
.../Disk%20P001/ABC%20doc%2012-01.tif.

Now I got the problem that all the hyperlink entered with Access 97 cannot
open the file and the error message was:-

Unable to open FilePath. Cannot open the specific file.

The file is there. Unless I re-enter the hyperlink, I can open it again.
Can someone advise me how to fix it as I have thousands of records entered
previously.

When I open the file in Access 2003, I also have two annoying warnings:-

1st warning

"Opening "FilePath"

Hyperlinks can be harmful to your computer and data. To protect your
computer, click only those hyperlinks from trusted sources. Do you want to
continue?"

After click Yes button, another warning appears.

"Opening FilePath

Some files can contain viruses or otherwise be harmful to your computer. It
is important to be certain that this file is from a trustworthy source.

Would you like to open this file?"

Until I click OK button, the file will be opened.

How can I disable such warning?

Thanks,

Scott

I recently upgraded from Access 97 to Access 2003 and just enter some new data into table via an input form. The form has one hyperlink field to contain a file path. In Access 2003, it appears not to accept file path and adds some additional characters, i.e.,%20 between space of the file path. Can someone advise why it happens and if I can use the old method to store the file path. Thanks, Ray

Hello, How can I change the Type of a field in a table from Memo to hyperlink? I import a table from Oracle to Access 2003. After that, the field type of some hyperlink-fields is "Memo". How can I schwitch back to Hyperlink via VBA because its boring doing it manually often (I import the table each week for doing updates). When I do it manually the hyperlink works well. Thanks in advance.

Hello. I've converted a bound Access 2000 form which displays data retrieved from an Access 2000 database to an unbound form. Now my hyperlinks don't work. I'm assuming it's because the form isn't bound anymore. I didn't even have that field's data type as hpyerlink - just test. I did have the form control's "hyperlink" property set to true and it worked fine in bound mode. The fields stores paths to pdf files. How can I make the...

I have a gridview inside a content placeholder that has the first column as a hyperlink. I changed it from a Hyperlinkfield to a Template field so I could name the hyperlink control. I can't figure out how to reference it so I can change the URL depending on which Stored procedure I bind to it during form load. Is there a way to change it URL via VB. This is in a content form within a master page if that makes any difference. Thank...

I have an Excel spreadsheet containing a column of hyperlinks that I need to import into Access. I have no trouble importing (in my case actually linking) the spreadhsheet to the Access table, however the column of hyperlinks lose their URL's in transit and no longer are active links. To try and fix the problem I am using this bit of code in my Excel spreadsheet to copy the URL of each hyperlink into a new column that can then be...

Tried this over in CSharp.General and didn't get anything, so I thought I'd try again here. If there's an AJAX specific group I could ask this in, please let me know...I did look. I'm trying to code what I think is a fairly typical Master/Detail scenario with two GridViews, using AJAX. Using the Northwind sample, I have two ObjectDataSources - one which pulls data from the Orders table, and one that pulls the related data from . Each...

Hi, I'm using MS Access 2002 SP3 & Visual Basic 6.3 on WinXP Home SP2. I have a table of condition data (5990 records) that relates to information stored in a proprietary application. The primary key in my table (MyKey) is the same as the key used to find data in the other windows application (C:\Folder\My.exe). So, if I am looking at a record in my table, say with ID = 100, I can view further information and images etc in my application...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
