On the subreport, records are grouped by WorkDate. In the WorkDate header
there is a textbox named DateCounter with the control source =1 and running
sum set to yes. In either the report footer or the WorkDate footer (I tried
both with no difference) is a textbox called DateCount, the control source
of which is =DateCounter. If this subreport is run as a seperate report,
DateCounter shows 1...2...3...etc for each seperate WorkDate and DateCount
in the footer will show the same number as the last WorkDate grouping. On my
main form I have a textbox, Days, with a control source of
=[rptSummaryLabor Subreport]![DateCount]. In theory, this should display a
number that corresponds to the number of WorkDate groups in the data subset.
Also the same as the field DateCount on the subreport. It does not, however,
but rather displays 1 everytime. What am I missing?

Possibly, you are referencing the Control improperly.
From the main Report, where sbrSubRep is the name of the Subreport Control,
try
sbrSubRep.Repor t!DateCount

I have a report that I run every quarter. When I opened it this
quarter, one of the subreports is not displaying. No error message -
just nothing displays where the subreport data should be. If you run
the subreport on its own, it displays fine. It just won't display on
the main report. I tried deleting and readding the subreport. No luck.
There are other subreports on the main one and they are acting fine.
