I've upgraded to IE7, and using Access 2002 SP3. I can no longer view
DAPs without IE crashing. A coworker had IE7 and the same issue. He
reverted back to IE6 and no problems.
Has anyone experienced this, or does anyone have an idea what I shoudl
be looking at? 5 1577 aa****@hotmail. com wrote:

I remember Lyle saying that he had weird problems with IE7. And we all

Where can I get an installable copy of IE6. Not at MS because I just tried
that.

IE is an integral part of Windows. If you uninstall IE7 then IE6 should
magically reappear.
To uninstall IE7 go
Control Panel
Add or Remove Programs
Click Show Updates (Box at Top)
Windows Internet Explorer should now appear together with a Remove
Button.
I have done this with IE 7 Beta where it worked swimmingly but not the
"real" thing; from my experience with MS I estimate there is only a
small, say 20%, chance that your hard drive will be erased and your cpu
fused.
But, perhaps you could become famous by discovering the problem (and
the solution) with your DAPs instead? Is there one that fails that is
not so crucial or private that you could not post it so others could
test and explore it, or send it to those who are interested whom you
might trust? pi********@hotm ail.com wrote:

The real (non-beta) IE7 seems to cause few problems and it helps a lot
with shaving. I've taken to keeping an electric razor beside my machine
and I give my face a buzz while IE7 does whatever it does to show
sites. Now all the redheads say, "Oh, you're so smooth, Lyle!". And you
thought there was no big advantage to IE7 ....!
(more seriously I use IE7 for what it alone can do and K-Meleon for
everything else; this post is coming via Google/K-Meleon).

LOL !
I don't shave that often (I have a beard), so no advantage left for me then ??
Or maybe my beard needs trimming more often...

Helpful folks,
Most of my previous experience with DB2 was on s390 mainframe systems
and the optimizer on this platform always seemed very predictable and
consistent. Since moving to a WinNT/UDB 7.2 environment, the choices
the optimizer makes often seem flaky. But this last example really
floored me. I was hoping someone could explain why I get worse
response time when the optimizer uses two indexes, than when it uses
one. Some context:

Hi,
I've recently upgraded from Access 97 to Access 2002 & the performance
basically stinks. I have tried the following items listed below but it
has only had a minor impact:
1) Upgraded Jet 4 to Service Pack 7
2) Set Subdatasheet Name to from
3) Shortened the file name of the .MDB file
4) Made sure the Track name AutoCorrect info is off

After doing a lot of vba work, I've noticed the size of my mdb has grown,
even though no data or objects have been added.
I've read that the following procedure will remedy this and improve
performance:
1. From the command line, type msaccess.exe /decompile.
2. Open the database you want to decompile.
3. Open up any module. Select the Compile All Modules and Save All Modules
menu items.

Hi:
I am the ?proud? owner of Access 2000, and have been using it for a while (with help from
this group). I now want to put some Access applications on the web. An associate told me
that this was "a slam dunk" ( to use George Tenant phrase), because Access had all the
tools you needed built in. Well after a suitable struggle, I found that he was talking
about access 97, which had the following capabilities:
Wizards to save forms,...

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is
upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server
at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has
licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that.
I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if
Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

I am not a programmer, nor do I use MS Access with any frequency, so I'm not very confident in what I've been doing. I have read everything I can find about Data Access Pages and I've tried everything that relates. I have serveral DAP's for use on our company intranet. I can see the pages with no problem, but none of the data from the database is there. I've created connection files, connection strings, change the UseRemoteProvider to True,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
