date properties

I have date fields on a subform

Is there some option under properties for this date field that defaults
data entry into this date field to ensure a value for Month no greater
than 12 is entered or that a value for Number of Days no greater than
31 is entered?

Lastly, is there some option under properties for a date field that
defaults the date entered to change from 13/09/2001 to 9/13/2001? Some
of my date fields on my subform do this and I want to turn this
off/deselect this if it is under properties?

Are these bound controls? If you bind them to a DateTime field then they are
automatically forced to enter a legal value. Even if unbound all you have to do
is give them a date format and that will force the user to enter a legal date.

The format property controls that. Set it to "m/dd/yyyy".

Hi All, Hope someone can help! I am building an Event Calendar app based around the Calendar WebControl which builds an SQL string based on the SelectedDates property which is passed to Page.StartDate and Page.EndDate properties. This works nicely and I can select a Day, Week or Month and run my SQL against them.

I am writing a timeline that uses Google Maps. I have a function that converts a date time to latitude coords. This function is used to draw the markers on the timeline. I need a reverse function to convert a latitude coord back to an accurate date time. Then I could detect the day/hour in the viewport when the timeline is zoomed in or out, or if it is moved. I cannot use the javascript date functions because this timeline will...

Hi all, Ok - I've come from a 1.1 background - and previously I've never had any problem with doing this: Response.Write (Session("MyDate").ToString("dd/MM/yyyy")) So, I might get this for example: 21/05/2006

Dear All, I am upgrading my skills from VB 6.0 to VB.Net. They say you can do all date and time calculations using the properties and methods of DateTime structure withour recourse to the functions and properties of the VB runtime library. (oh yeah !!!) I have been trying to determine the year interval between two dates using the properties and methods of the DateTime structure so that it is consistent with the .Net Framework.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
