112 New Member
Hi,
I have two tables in that one table contain name id, name, categary etc.,
and other table contains name id, name but not categary. now i want to copy the categary column another table.
One table is contains unic data. But other table contains repeated data.
1st table is Address list of the customer
2nd table is Distribution list for every month.
So some time the distribution list contains the name id many times according distribution.

Here my question Now i want to add the categary according to name id

Create a join between the fields that are equal

Choose from Query Menu Update query

Select the filed that you want to update

Under this Field write down [Category]

Hello all, Yes, it is another Oracle 8.0 question. We are just too small to force our customer to migrate to newer Oracle. My problem is I need to copy the value of the long column in table A to another table B's long column. Unfortunately, "insert into table_a select long_column from table_b" doesn't work. I also thought of changing table_a's long column to clob,

I have a "source" table that is being populated by a DTS bulk import of a text file. I need to scrub the source table after the import step by running appropriate stored proc(s) to copy the source data to 2 normalized tables. The problem is that table "Companies" needs to be populated first in order to generate the Identity ID and then use that as the foreign key in the other table. Here is the DDL: CREATE TABLE . (

This is driving me crazy!! I'm using MSACCESS, and all I want to do is create a macro/query/anything that will take the data in Column A and copy it into Column B (same table) "Insert into" ALMOST works ... unfortunately it adds the data at the END of Column B ... and I need Column B to be an exact replica of Column A (but with a different name of course). Right now I have my users doing it manually, but I really want to automate it...

Hi All, 1. Created table in SQL Server 2K with Primary key as int Identity 2. Link to table in MS Access 2K 3. Using form in MSAccess to update the linked table I want SQL server to automatically update the int identity column as it would normally. i.e. no need to enter a value even though it is a NOT NULL field. SQL Server recognises this , allows the row details to be entered without the int identity and creates it when moving to the...

Hi, I've got a table in MsAccess with 100+ fields. If I fill a tabletable with this table , change some values , get the update-command via commandbuilder , the update fails. This because the commandbuilder adds a where clause that contains all the fields in the datatable ( to check whether the record has been changed since the fill ). Because MSAccess does not allow more then 99 fields in the where clause, the update fails offcourse.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
