Tab movement between fields in a form

58 New Member
I have a form with two subforms. Is there a way to control how the Tab key moves between fields? Especially those movement from field to field between subforms for data entry?

Can you be more specific. Do you mean the tab order for instance? If you do then all you need to do is right-click the form in design mode, select "tab order" and you can re-order all your controls.

Hi my frien,

With the tab you can move between the controls of a form but once in a subform...

you can't exit from there with tab....

at least only with tab... none...

Press Ctrl + Tab to exit the respectf subform..

Remember this combination of keys:

Ctrl+Tab
Ctrl + Shift+ Tab...

Hi, I'm trying to limit the movement of the mouse cursor in using a VB app. The idea is to stop the cursor straying on to the second monitor of a dual screen set-up (i.e. a projector) while this program is running. I've found and have been working with Knowledge Base Article 179192 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;179192) which limits the mouse movement to inside a form, but I'd like to adapt this to be limited...

Is there an event triggered when a form is dragged by its titlebar? I have two forms on screen - the main form is draggable and I need the secondary form to automatically reposition itself adjacent to the main form if the main form is relocated. Tom

I don't remember ever reading about this in any of the "how to" books I've got or I wouldn't bother you guys (honest, I'm not being lazy here.....OK maybe just a little, but you guys are SOOOO good) I have a form along with it's multiple sub forms that I don't need or want to display the record movement bar that automatically appears at the bottom. Is this something I can set at design time, and if so how?

I have a form that opens maximized and requires scrolling down to see all the textboxes. When you enter a textbox in the lower portion of the form the Enter event opens a large textbox with a large font. This allows the inputter to see from a distance what was just scanned in from the barcoded label on a parcel. When the large textbox closes it transfers its contents to the smaller textbox. My problem is what happens when the large textbox...

Hi all: I have an application that hides itself and displays an icon in the system tray. Is it possible for this application to detect keystrokes and/or mouse movements while hidden/minimized. So the application is not loaded and visible, so mouse movements on the form won't work, I need the program to be able to detect mouse movement on the system level. Thanks in advance.

I have the opportunity to rescue a project that uses a mouse to sense the relative position of a machine. The hardware is built...just needs to be programmed. Stop snickering!!! I didn't do it...I just gotta fix it. I need to make some calculations on the measurements and VB6 is my language. Yes, the system mouse will corrupt the measurement, but it's an auditing function and that's acceptable.

I am creating a simple server application, that will listen for incoming mouse coordinates and then move the mouse accordingly. So basically it's like a very simple VNC server without and screen display. I have this basic part working. The problem is that response time is really bad. It seems like the server is not receiving the data fast enough to be able to move the mouse so that it appears to be in sync with the movement on the client...

I was wondering if there was a way to give mouse movement on an empty form some lag/delay? For instance, user moves mouse, and the cursor is 20ms (possible adjustable from some option) behind the movement. So when user stops moving mouse, 20ms later the cursor itself stops moving... I tried using: Windows.Forms.Cursor.Current.Position = New System.Drawing.Point(x,y) and forms of sleep/timer events but cant seem to get it to work...

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
