Picture Link for Access

2 New Member
I have a form created in Access that has a command button that opens another form. This other form brings up a linked picture. When I change the Popup option to "yes" on this form, the picture doesn't show. When I put the Popup option back to "no" the picture shows.

Any ideas on how I can use the Popup option with a linked Picture?

This shouldn't be causing you a problem. Did you use an object or an image frame to attach the object?

Also, is the picture the same each time or does it change?

Ok, I'll explain the whole problem because there may be several ways to solve this and hopefully someone knows one. What I'm doing is creating a specialty template editor, similar to say a corel draw (but for specific uses). What I need to be able to do is import graphics and text and then move them around the background until they are where I want them and then export it out as an image file. The problem is that I need to be able to...

Hello again. I am trying to figure out how to link a picture to a record from code. I have figured out how to get the proper dialogue box to open but I still have to manually check off the Link checkbox. Is there a way to automate the checking of this box? I am not doing any of this through code because when I tried that, I could not make it work from code so I am simply using the default behaviours of the bound object frame. I hope...

Hi: I have a Bill of Lading template from the printer that I saved as a BMP. I created a new report and in the report's picture property told it the BMP file name. It brought the image in just fine. I then placed the fields in the report. Then I previewed the report. The picture resized or something and all of my nice fields were no longer in the same position. It didn't make any difference if I selected Crop, Zoom, or...

I'm working on distributing a database using VS Tools for Office, and am having trouble with linked images on forms/reports. The image objects have a default path\file set on the .Picture property, which becomes invalid when the user installs the database (ie: c:\devpath\ becomes c:\program files\mydbapp, but the .Picture property still points to c:\devpath\) The problem is that I don't *know* what installation path the user will select,...

I have a template in Word 2003 with several paragraphs of text and a picture in the upper-right corner. The pic has a fixed position and size, which must not change. From Access, I need to update the template, replacing several fields with data from the db, and replace the picture with a path and filename stored in the db. But most importantly, the size and place of the picture cannot change. It would seem to me that if you insert a...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
