Hi,
You enter in query design view, assign the table on which you want to do the calculation...
Choose the column that contains the values for the standart deviation...
Press the sigma bouton /sum, total/
Instaed group By select Stdev
It's ready to see the deviation!
Switch to datasheet view for this!

Hi,
We are having this problem here on our project where we store all
firstnames, lastnames in the oracle database in uppercase, when we retrieve
the data to be used in web application and email letters, we do a propercase
on the names. But, for names like O'Rieley, McDonald, propercasing the name
returns Orieley, Mcdonald. Our client/customer requires us to display it as
ORieley, McDonald. Did anybody come across a similar situation or...

I know in some other languages there is a simple standard deviation function
(sdev(1,2,3,4,5,etc...)). But I'm unable to find a suitable alternative for
vb.net
I'm assuming it's there somewhere. Can someone tell me the how to call
standard deviation? I have a datatable and I need to determine the std for
a series of rows.
Thanks for the help!

Background:
I am trying to "merge" some attributes into an existing XML column in my MS SQL 2005 database. The general idea is that I have an XML column in a table and I would like to update/delete some values while leaving the other values alone. I am designing this database/table/column so maybe I could use attributes or elements/nodes, the choice is ultimately mine. The one constraint is that I have to allow for customized name/value pairs....

I want to create a new column in a datatable from two existing columns. I
have no problem to create the new column using the datatable.columns.add
method. The problem is the value of the new column may become system.dbnull
since one of the two existing columns may have system.dbnull. How can I fix
it so the new column will get the value of the other column even the other
column is system.dbnull?

thank you for your answer
actually i've to do some statistics (maximum, minimum, mean, standard
deviation,....) of a file of data in which each column is a particular
type of data. (the file is a tab separated value).
I was trying to do this by using python (usually i work with fortran or
bash, but i'm learning python), that the reason why i tried to use numpy.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
