MS Access Hours Calculations

1 New Member
Does anyone know how to calculate hours that go over 24? I am tracking how many hours & seconds our production keyers work everyday. When I run a query for a length of time that a given employee has worked >24 hours, my day field goes to 31 and hours go to whatever the real total hours are less 24. I understand that the day is 30 if hours are < 24. I am only wanting to report on hours:minutes:s econds. So, if total hours for the month are 160, I would like to see 160, not 6 days: 16 hours.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brett

I am having trouble with MS Access 2000 on Windows 2000 Pro. The two problems are that it is taking very long to link to Informix and Oracle through ODBC and queries from Informix and Oracle never finish - the meter shows 99% complete - for hours and hours. I have the latest ODBC drivers; defragged and chkdsk'ed the hard drive; reinstalled Office. Any other suggestions, hints, tips?

I have an Access MDB which instantiates a class in a custom DLL, manipulates it for a while, then sets it equal nothing. The MDB does other things, too, and generally behaves itself as desired. But, if I have done the DLL thing, even though I close the MDB, Access refuses to close. If I haven't used the DLL, all is well. The DLL is one I wrote myself in VB. I'm quite stumped, and rather guess the problem may be in the DLL (I've also

Right now the database I am working with is storing time in an Integer data type and is storing the time value in seconds. The application does not allow entering seconds. It accepts minutes and hours. I have a report where it is doing: SELECT SUM(TIMEENTERED) and the SUM is *blowing* up as the SUM is reaching

I have designed a "Time Tracker Database"... Basically a Time Clock. I have report that calculates the number of regular hours worked per week. I have a table that tracks employee times. I have a column (Date/Time). Users, through a form, enter how long it takes them to complete a task. For example, 03:45 = 3 hours and 45 mins. I am running the following query: SELECT Sum(Nz(.,0)) AS SumOfNumberOfCompletions, Format(Sum(Nz(.,0)),"Short

OK, I will try to explain this as clearly and as concise as possible. I am using Access, which has three MS Excel Linked tables, to store call center metrics for reps. My Excel workbook has three separate worksheets, all linked to Access. I have a query that performs some minor calculations, not to hard, and will be ued to drive a report. Here is my problem, I only have about 14 rows of data in each table as we only have three reps. ...

Hello, From a zone-file of a Microsoft Active Directory integrated DNS server I get the date/time of the dynamic update entries in a format, which is as far as I know the hours since january 1st 1901. For Example: the number 3566839 is 27.11.07 7:00. To calculate this in Excel I use this: ="01.01.1901"+(A1/24-(REST(A1;24)/24))+ZEIT(REST(A1;24);0;0) (put 3566839 in field A1 and switch the format of the result-field to the corresponding...

I just want to see if I am thinking about this correctly. I have a report that shows Time In, Time Out, And Total Time Seen. I have a text box down at the bottom that adds the Time Seen column on the report. I then formated the text box hh:nn to give me total hours and min spent with customers. All goes well until the time adds up to more then 24 hours. If I format the text box to dd:hh:nn it gives me one day less then if I add the times up...

Hello, I am having trouble with my database in Access. The problem lies in my report. I have created a report based off a query. The query contains all values that I'll need for my report- some will be directly on the report in text boxes, etc and others will be needed for calculations only and so are not directly on the report. My problem is when I'm writing the code for my text box "TriagePercent" which should, based on the AuditNum (pk)...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
