OUTLOOK READ CONFIRMATION

jm
We develloped an application to automate the import of a specific
mailbox on a daily base.
To make things easier we import the data into access, and then move the
mails in outlook from the in-box to an archive folder;

a very strange behaviour in this matter is that people who request for
a 'read confirmation' get a message back that the mail was deleted
without being read;

is their an option that will never send back read or deliver
confirmations (in outlook or exchange server);

I've got RH9 Linux with default PHP. Is there a way to send email on Linux to an Exchange Server from PHP and/or other tools when there is *NOT* SMTP access? Has anyone figured out a way to use PHP to get inside an OWA (Microsoft Outlook Web Access) website to send email that way? The reason I ask is because my corporate office is going to do away with our rogue SMTP server access and force everything through Exchange

I'm trying to send an e-mail through outlook. So far I've gotten it to work with the mail script at http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Cookbook/Python/Recipe/149461 My only problem is that when I call Resolve() and Send(), I get confirmation dialogs. I will be sending out quite a few e-mails at a time, and would rather not have the user have to click yes for every single one. Does anyone know a workaround? I know about smtplib, but I...

Hi We are developing an off-the-shelf software suite for a certain business sector. Most of the program is simply a GUI on top of some .mdb files. Its a .net application written in c# One major requirement is "Outlook Integration". The Outlook contact folders are to be used for contact management I want to know what is the standard way to do this these days. Most of the information in MSDN seems rather old I first used the Outlook...

A client of mine is using Outlook (2002, I believe), and is getting prompted for confirmation that another program is sending e-mail in his name. That confirmation has to go, as it's part of an automated process. I originally used SendObject. But, according to MS, that doesn't work with Exchange. So, per their note, I changed it to MAPI code and provided the Profile name. Everything works; but he's still getting the prompt. Now, he...

Hi - I am developing an application that needs to automate Microsoft Outlook and I need to capture the ItemSend event. The PC I'm developing with has Outlook 2003 on; the problem I have is I need to make the code work with Outlook XP (i.e. 2002)! The code to add the event is currently: oOutlook.ItemSend += new Outlook.ApplicationEvents_11_ItemSendEventHandler

I want to develop an interface to create, edit, and delete Outlook profiles. The system I want to do this on will Have Outlook 2003 on it. I can use much of the Office Interop stuff to create/send emails, etc, but I can't find anything I can leverage for actually manipulating the Outlook profiles themselves. Not asking for any code examples, but simply if there are any existing libraries/references that I can leverage to use with...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
