Hi All. I'm looking for any help or sample code that can show me how to make a file import wizard in ASP.NET (VB preferred) like the one that MS Access uses. I'm working on a web site where the user has the ability to upload a file (.txt or .csv). The data in the file may be comma delaminated, tab delaminated, fixed width etc (we don't know).
What I'd like to create is something like MS Access uses to import an Excel file into the...

I've been doing some minor stuff with an Access Database that creates
an email, or a calendar item etc. for a couple of years now. I have
had no problem using the MAPI code and haven't had any reason to be
concerned about what I was doing. I was looking into direcly linking
somebody's sent item folder with my database but I wanted to see if I
could pull in the attachment with the table or at the least, create a
link to the file on my...

Hello,
i have a problem with the data exchange between a managed C# application and
an unmanged C++ DLL. The C# app fills some values of a structure and calls
the C++ DLL. This DLL reads the filled data from the structure and fills the
results into the same structure. This code above works, but sometimes the
data array is empty, although the GetMemory function returns true. For
example: i read 250kByte (~1000 function calls) 5 - 15 times...

Hi
How can I exchange data between two ASPX pages without a round-trip?
Let's say from the 1st page I call the 2nd one in a new window and then I want to return back a value. BUT without refreshing (i.e. reloading the 1st page).
I see this kind of exchange happening in lots of sites, like Yahoo! mail, e.t.c.
Any ideas?

I found the following information on this site, but I am unable to get it to work. All it brings back is the xml page with no data. I am running a Windows 2003 Server with Exchange 2003 Server.
When the code gets to This line..
If objDoc.loadXml(objRequest.ResponseText) Then
The results return False and I don't receive any data. Does anyone know what the problem may be?

When an external resouce programmatically post the XML document as content
of http post request, and at server-side, I can read the XML data from http

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
