Dot Matrix (DOS like printing)

I have an application that is currently a DBASE/Clipper application. We print
out a variety of custom labels on Epson DOT matrix printers. I would like to
be able to print these labels.
I am somewhat familiar with using the commercially available labels but I
don't know if I can print my custom designed labels.
By custom designed I mean that the line spacing of the preprinted text has
been designed with the 10 or 17 characters per inch.

Any assistance will be most appreciated.

By custom designed I mean that the line spacing of the preprinted text has
been designed with the 10 or 17 characters per inch.
If you have the appropriate printer driver installed, then you may have
the printer-specific fonts available in the "Font Name" list for a
TextBox, Label, etc.. They will have a printer icon instead of the
familiar TrueType (TT) icon.

If the dot-matrix printer is not your default printer, you may have to
choose

File Page Setup...

while the report is open in design view, select the "Page" tab, click
"Use Specific Printer" and then use the "Printer... " button to select
the Epson.

You can also write directly to the printer port, sending the appropriate
ESC characters and text. You will need the MSCOMM control if it's on a
COM port, but one on LPT should work just by Opening the port (simlar to
opening a file) and Writing/Printing to it. Most of the code you have in
DBase will be reusable with a few modifications.
