Strange problem: opening Access db on network

There is one database shared at network drive

The thing is that db works perfectly for everyone except one user.
In either way if that user copy that db to his desktop or open it from
network it gets error
"The Microsoft Jet database engine doesn't recognize 'Course'
as a valid field name or expression"

So start up form opens blank with no data retrieved from this table.

I repeat the problem is only with one user account so when I log in as
a admin for that machine, db works! Even if I give him full admin
rights db still doesn't work. User has full right on that shared
folder also.

Can you suggest me what to do ?

I am getting strange print-related error messages when trying to create (not print!) reports. For example, when I click 'new' to create a report then choose 'design view', I get an error message that says: 'There was a problem retrieving printer information for this object. The object may have been sent to a printer that was unavailable.' When I choose 'report wizard', I can go through all of the steps but then I get an error message...

Hello, This is a question regarding MS-Access programming. 1. Network environment: I got a room with 50 people answering the phone and logging the topics of the incoming calls. Each has a PC, and the PC's are connected by LAN to a Windows 2000 server PC.

We've been supporting a number of Access applications for a particular client for some years. Some of them were written by third parties, some by us (even one or two by me, though not this particular one). Recently they switched from a Novell network to Microsoft Active Directory, and this is causing some strange behaviour in some of the Access apps. In particular, one mission-critical one, written in Access 97, with an Access 97 back...

I have a strange situation, and I'm not sure even where to start troubleshooting. I have a client who has a small network - 6 workstations, one server running Windows 2003 Server Standard edition. They have an Access 2003 database that sits on this server. They have no password protection on the access database - everybody has full access to it. We setup shortcuts on each persons desktop to the access database using UNC paths (instead...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
