Toggle field display on an Access form

Hi all,
Hum i just erased the whole message by mistake, :(
Ok so i want to hide a specific field in an Access form using a toggle
button, but i cant seem to get the right syntax. Right now im using a
macro to toggle the Visible bit (SetValue), but i want to add a filter
which would, when i press the button, compare the field value (string)
with another string, "No Action" for example, and then decide wheter to
hide the field or not.
What I have now looks like that:
IF ([...] = "No Action", [...].[Visible] = No, [...].[Visible] = Yes)
But it doesnt work at all. I tried changing the syntax without success.
Could anyone give me a hand plz?
Thanx alot
Mike

Forget the f'ing macro. Use a command button. In the Command
button's OnClick event, put the following line ov visual basic,
substituting appropriate field names and strings.

me.txtBoxToHide .visible = (me.txtboxField toCheck = "text to
check").
If it works backwards, make it .visible = NOT (me.

I wondered if anyone would give me code- I think it would be easy, but I'm a complete newbie. What I want to do is to show many tables in a brief truncated format and then for each table offer the user the ability to toggle so they can see the full content of each table individually. The code I got from the net below works fine for *one* table but when I try to add a 2nd table it does not work. How can I apply this toggle individually to...

Hi, I am working on a genealogy form. The only table (so far) lists everybody in the family, one record per person. Each record has an autonum ID. The parent form (frmMainForm) displays the data in each record, which includes the ID of the father and the mother (who also have records in the table). One record per form. I have a Tab Control in the form, and in one of the tabs I have a subform (sfmSiblings) in which I wish to list...

I recently upgraded from Access 97 to Access 2003 and just enter some new data into table via an input form. The form has one hyperlink field to contain a file path. In Access 2003, it appears not to accept file path and adds some additional characters, i.e.,%20 between space of the file path. Can someone advise why it happens and if I can use the old method to store the file path. Thanks, Ray

Can I set the Format property in a date/time field in code? Can I set the Input Mask in a date/time field in code? Can I set the Format of a Yes/No field to Checkbox in code? I am working on a remote update of tables and fields and can't find enough information on these things. Also, how do you index a field in code?

I am constructing a database to process product returns for my Company. I have a number of toggle buttons to identify the stage to which each return has been processed. For example, clicking the first button confirms that the goods are now in our building awaiting initial processing. This button then fires off an email to our warehouse staff alerting them to the fact. I want to restrict these buttons to single use, so that once the email...

I would like to set the check box to hide the section of the form if the check is removed. How can I make an array of command buttons (or toggle buttons) on a form and have a text box on the same form display the index of the button clicked? This works very well in VB6, but I can't duplicate the action in Access. Chuck

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
