Most Current Dates to show on Subform

I created a subform with 4 separate fields (textboxes) each containing
an 8 digit date

I want the most current date to show in each of the four fields
So under properties for the subform under Order By I entered the
following:

SATermDate DESC, CMSTermDate DESC, SATermDateResci nded DESC,
CMSTermDateResc inded DESC

This first two fields display the most current date (09/07/2006 showing
first), however the last two cells do not completely order from most
current to least current date

Any suggestions?

Depends on your data. You can't order fields arbitrarily. I'd go into
the recordsource property of the subform and set each field to order
descending. However, if SATermDate is 09/07/2006 and the
CMSTermDateResc inded for that record is 01/01/2006 then that's what's
going to show there. You can't change the order within a record.

Can this be done in access by a lay person? Also, are there any tutorials for this type of addition to your applications? I'm trying to use a calendar control to set a date in the future for a to do list, similar to a PIM. If the date exists, then I want to open that date, if it doesn't I want to create that date. Thought about make table query, but not sure to go from there. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I searched Deja News...

I have a single (not continuous) form with an Undo button for entering finished projects. On the form is also a subform that lists all finished projects for reference. When I enter the CompletionDate which is near the beginning of all the fields, I would like the current project to appear in the subform which lists all the finished projects. I can't save the current project at that point because I wouldn't be able to use the Undo button...

Being fairly inexperienced at Access 2000, i've been reading many posts here for the last several days, and testing myself to find the best approach to do the following in A2K: SET UP: I have created a MainTable (and related form), which has an associated SubForm (popup) along with its underlying, separate Table. The tables' relationship is one to many respectively. The primary key

I admit my form is pretty complex and may need a total overhaul - I have two subforms synchronized on a form through an unbound text box. When I enter a new record in the second subform it used to complain about nulls and then about 'can't repeat an index'. To solve this I wrote code on the main form's subform enter event (I'm surprised I found it. I must have spent an hour trying to program the enter and exit events from the subform...

I need to perform the following: - select the most recent X number of records in a table (there is a timestamp field) - select the Nth occurrence of X number of records ex: - most recent 10 records (N is 1) - most recent records 10-20 (N would be 2) - most recent records 10-30 (etc.)

I have a table with the fields - Income_Date Income. 19/3/07 $320 21/2/07 $200 27/1/07 $300 In a continuous subform, I need to show for each income period the average weekly income on each line. As far as I can figure so far, I need to use the datediff function to calculate the difference between the two dates, and then loop to the next record and repeat. I just have no idea how to achieve this. ...

I have created a frmTimesheet form where auditors will enter their hours for audits that they've worked on. I know how to build a very basic, no-frills database, and what I'm trying to accomplish here is a bit beyond my true technical expertise. At this point, the auditor can select his/her name on the primary Form which will filter any/all audits that they have charged time to (subForm). The subForm details the audits, dates, and hours...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
