Running a database via the Internet

Hi - I have a CRM database (Access 2003) and am looking for ways to
increase its acessibility whenever a user is away from the office.

I have been reading about Citrix (as well as other software) and wonder
if such programs can enable the functionality I am looking for. If you
have any other ideas don't hold back!

The front-end is appr. 1MB and the back-end 4MB.

Best regards

Eskil

GoToMyPC, and other clones, are good. No fuss, no muss, works great
over dialup, better at broadband speeds.

I maintain an internet site. The host is linux based and uses postgres on the server. I wish to install a smallish database (of names and addresses +) on the host, and allow it to be accessed over the internet (by a restricted number of people). I'm not sure if this is possible. I would like to have a PHP app on the Internet connect and write to a local database (Intranet). For example, users would go to a web site http://www.internet.com to run the app. The app requires an internet connection and is outside of the user's network. The app would have the option to either store data locally or on the Internet. I would like to give users the option to store data locally because...

Hello there, I am running a webservice on IIS6, sometimes it runs at a reasonable speed, sometimes it runs painfully slow and sometimes inbetween. The application that consumes the service is vb.dotnet and runs on a local area network. Does anyone have any ideas? Where should I start to look? What could be causing this? Thank you for any help or ideas

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
