personal finances

I went to the Microsoft Templates page to see if there is a database
template for tracking and reporting on personal finances, but there is
nothing good, does anyone have one, or know where I can download a good
database for this?

you should buy Microsoft Money or Quicken, those are the best tools for
personal finance. I use MS Money personally.

There's a few decent ones on www.download.com, and I'm about 70% done
developing my own Access-based application that has a good amount of
functionality for a checkbook system. Not as intricate as Quicken,
it's not going to track 401(k) and all that, but it works pretty good
for Checking/Savings/Credit Card balancing.

Hi folks, I have been mulling over an idea for a very simple python-based personal document management system. The source of this possible solution is the following typical problem: I accumulate a lot of files (documents, archives, pdfs, images, etc.) on a daily basis and storing them in a hierarchical file system is simple but unsatisfactory:

I tried that but got errors. Does anyone know what down load I am looking for so I can install Personal Web Server on Windows 98 as well is there a better place for this post? Thanks for your advice. I have created an Access Database to store information from my various bank accounts and keep track of my finances. Everything works great, except that I decided not to keep the balance data on the sheet, only the transaction amount. I figured it was easier to just add all the previous transaction amounts to get the balance on any given date (and a single balance adjustment at the start of the data).

Developed this personal WEB site with the new ASP.NET 2.0 Beta: http://www.techsoft.no/bendik/ It has got this problem: After a while browsing through pictures on the site, an error occurs: 'Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached.'

Hi to All, I'm developing an application in VB .NET. I have a question: what is the best place to save personal settings of my users? I mean, when a user uses my application, it can create a personal profile (e.g. last files opened, custom settings, etc...). What is the best place to save them? At first, I thought to save them in the registry, in the CURRENT_USER section, but I'm not sure every user can have read/write access to it. ...

I'm working on examples of programming in several languages, all (except PHP) running under CGI so that I can show both the source files and the actually running of the examples online. The first set of examples, after decoding the HTML FORM contents, merely verifies the text within a field to make sure it is a valid representation of an integer, without any junk thrown in, i.e. it must satisfy the regular expression: ^ *?+ *$ If the...

Hello Bytes Community, About 4 months ago I started a website/graphic design business. It has been going well, but as of yet I have not started to track any of my finances (personal or business). I am 19, so until recently I didn't have to worry about it because I wasn't paying taxes or even making that much income. But now my business is growing very fast, and I have thousands of dollars coming in monthly. I need software to track my...

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
